Default San Francisco Zoo....thoughts?????

Took the kids for a day at the zoo....2 adults and 5 kids, ages ranged 5yrs to 13 yrs...Cost was $60 to get in...So cost wise, somewhat reasonable...weather was gorgeous, other zoo-goers were courteous and not too many screaming, tantrum throwing kids or adults for that matter...
Food was outrageously priced. Animals were beautiful of course..however just one question from me....what happened to all the money that has been donated by people, including myself and various other family members, to renovate some if not all the animal enclosures? Aside from a few new areas, most of the renovations were done for human comfort...such as cafe', luncheon area, gift shop area..etc.... Don't get me wrong, I am not a huge activist of the sort, but some of the enclosures, for example, the polar bear exhibit area, that has been around and the same since i was little, I am now in my 40's and noticed the only new thing seems to be what looks like some type of electrical wiring!
Okay, just needed to get that off my chest..thanks for reading...
That's MS.BITCH to you....
In obvious need of a time out....

I went to San Francisco in February (last) What a beautiful time I had. It was the first time in San Francisco and I stayed in Novato with a friend. I was there two weeks and I loved the American people - I just wish we were closer.

I'm glad that you had a good time, Novato is also a really nice place, i use to work there. My complaint was not about the people encountered or that we had a bad time, on the contrary, it was a great time...my complaint or concern is for the animals that seemed to be living in the same conditions today as when I first saw them many many years ago as a child...I would just like to see their surroundings grow and improve as they did for us for attraction purposes.
Have you ever been to San Diego?
