What sitcoms/comedies are you guys trying to watch a lot?

I'm into The Office and Two and a Half Men.

My favourite has to be Frasier. I'm collecting the DVDs, but not very quickly - I'm only up to season 3 after getting the first season about 2 years ago!

Fawlty Towers an Hallo! Hallo! are really good. I'm not watching too much sitcoms nowdays. Saw almost all episodes of Friends, and a lot of Married with children though.

Scrubs. Everything else I watch is pretty much just FX shows (The Shield, Rescue Me, The Riches, Nip/Tuck)

Currently? None.
Favorites of the past: Faulty Towers, Are you Being Served?, Grace Under Fire, Ab Fab (which I own a lot of on VHS and DVD), and Chef... One Foot in the Grave was pretty good too.

I see you're a fan of the British sitcom

I don't have any kind of USA<UK complex, but Britain makes the best sitcoms
"What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about what we can taste, what we can smell, hear and feel then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain."

Any show with a laugh track is terrible. Scientifically and technically, they're quite clever and successful. If a group of people laugh at something, the viewers are more prone to laughing too. Monkey see, monkey do. But the actual jokes are terrible, compared to real comedies like Arrested Development and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Not Going Out w/ Lee Mack, on BBC1 @ 10.35pm on Mondays when its running, very fast paced and packed with hilarious one-liners.

Scrubs and My Family are pretty good as well, Robert Lindsay makes me laugh.

I'm not watching any new stuff on a regular base but I like to watch reruns of "Married... with Children" and "Dharma & Greg".

Seinfeld is the only typical sitcom that I really like. I love Scrubs and Arrested Development though.

yes, Fawlty Towers, i have to agree with this one. apparently, the original producers didn't think it would be even slightly popular.....but it turned out to be the complete opposite.

other good sitcome include:
One Foot in the Grave
Only Fools and Horses
Porridge
Blackadder

Faulty Towers was funny. I also liked "Good Neighbors" and "Keeping Up Appearances".

"Friends" is a sitcom, if you mean the one with Ross, Chandler, Monica, and Phoebe. I wonder if someone just thought up "Smellycat" over lunch.
