Decided about 5 years back despite have about 40 channels to chose from there was maybe 2 programs a week that really were worth watching the reat of the time I was watching garbage just because it was there. So when the TV died I never replaced it. am I so weird? ![]()

Hmm I try to watch as little TV as possible, and check in the schedules to see if there's anything I want to watch every few days. I don't turn the TV on unless I know theres something I want to watch. I hope that eventually I will be able to stop watching altogether. I think its perfectly normal to decide that its a watse of time to passively sit infront of a screen and not engage with anything else. You have my respect ![]()

| Devils advocate | we have one in the house, but i never actually use it either... all i watch (if ever) are some good old dvds (starwars, LotR, Holy grail...) The only thing i have enjoyed recently is house, he is funny, but thats about it... i would rather engage in something active, tv doesnt do anything for you... |

40 channels is nothing. That doesn't even include the good channels. Good TV is rare, so you need a lot of channels to find enough. That gets prety expensive though and not worth it unless you have some people to share the bill with. another reason to have a TV is to play with your Wii.

I try to keep watching TV to a mininum. About 40 minutes a day. A lot of people I know say they don't watch TV but they do. They have turned their computers into TVs by using youtube and downloading TV series over bittorrent. A few months ago I relised I was doing the same thing. I was downloading about three TV episodes a week and watching youtube a lot. Watching TV on a computer instead of a television is the same thing bar the ads.

Well, it seems that foreboding has fallen over the calm world that I call home. ZS forums and I are now best buds. (I think that zombies have less cred than nukes as a doomsday, but slightly more than aliens...)
