Hell yea it will last it's the best so I've seen I love the girls hehe. I love SON it's my first choice, my tv obsession, my guilty pleasure whatever. To be completely honest I wouldn't watch degrassi anymore if there weren't some palex hope but Spashley is LOVE.

I love this show so much! I think it's kinda different from Degrassi in a way and that's really cool! It deals with a lot of things that teenage girls are going through and I love it!

OKAY i TOTALLY agree wid the person who said its COMPLETELY different to Degrassi.

Every epiosde of Degrassi has a new storyline or continuation but they come and go, u have to fit in 20 characters within 19 eppies, thats a truckload of diff storylines. One minute youll see ellies storyline then u wont see her for another 3 eppies. Its stop and go. U always have to remeber wat was goin on there, degrassis all over the place.

Whereas with SON its all about the carlin family and how theyre kids and parents deal with there lives living in LA, every episode storyline continues from the last,it just keeps flowin, theyre characters are faced with diff challenges.

I dun even kno how u could say its there own version of degrassi, there two completely different shows, u cant compare em.

true you can't compare them.. degrassi is a little frustrating cos it has so many characters and that means we wont see none of them properly we have to guess what happens meanwhile it's better to consentrate on 2-4 main characters .. good news is that season 3 is almost for sure

I TOTALLY AGREE. When i saw this thread at first, i thought people would.... i don't know just talk about the show in general(people do )but i have noticed that others like to or seemed to COMPARE the two(DTNG and SON) to be a version of a serie. I agree with you that they are both different and i love watching both of these. In ways they are the same cuz it's about teens but then they are really different (just by the fact that ones storyline is from-son-LA and the other one is from -DTNG-TORONTO) All i am saying is that they are both great and as long as everyone is enjoying at least one of these shows, I am happy =).

I love this show. Even though some themes are similar to degrassi it is different. It covers more racial issues that they don't cover on degrassi as well as how families interact with the kids

I like it very much too. I wish Degrassi could be more in depth like SoN sometimes. SoN is able to do that because of the smaller cast. Sometimes I think Degrassi has more characters then they can handle in a half hour. It should really be an hour each week and the 2 parters should be 2 hours, lol!

*hand claps* i totally agree with you a hundred percent! as much as i love Degrassi, Degrassi usually wants it's fans to use their imagination sometimes where they can miss detail in some episodes. sometimes i feel SON is more go there than Degrassi in episodes, which is so odd since that's Degrassi's motto.

You and PnA have summed up what I've been trying to say for what feels like forever but couldn't get quite right. As much as I love Degrassi and Palex, it seems like South has gotten much more indepth then Degrassi allows their relationships. Even a coupling like Maddison/Aiden has backstory and emotional drama. It seems characters on Degrassi pair up, are seen together, and then break-up with not a lot of the time spent on it that South does. The smaller cast allows it the time. I wish Degrassi had more time or two shows. Something to allow the cast more screentime.

Don't Like the show or actors.

The actors seem like they try to much.

ok well I just finished wacthing all of season one accouple of days ago and im up to date with the recent shows, I'm like addicted to South Of Nowhere now it's such a great show besides Degrassi hehe I <3 Spashley there the best couple on the show

the preveiw for next weekend's episode,when it shows Spencer's mom walk in the room and say o my god,gave me butterflies,i am DEFINATELY watching that one next weekend

Paula cracks me the hell! She's such a drama queen, you forget sometimes she's homophoic. But I can't wait until she finds out about Spashley's relationship. The look on her face was priceless.
