i'm sorry, harshness here. Degrassi is waaaay behind SON. You can't compare them properly. Seriously whoever said that SON is just the US version of Degrassi is really well dumb. SON has nothing to do with dealing with 'teen' issues. It's about two girls trying to figure out their ever increasing love for each other, while sub plotting with race, high school and general teenage ness. THEREFORE it's not like Degrassi, it's in a league of it's own.

I don't think it's like degrassi at all. Like someone else said it's not about Teen issues, it's about a girl finding out who she is. I hope they never cover as much subjects as Degrassi. I think Degrassi should just be Degrassi and Son should just be Son.

I love it and it doesn't excactly replasce degrassi, it kinda gives all dofferent issues. I mean with Clay and all. I mean Degrassi rocks, but SON is also wicked awesome!!!

I love SON, I hope it gets more popular so it doesnt get cancelled before it's 3rd season. i cant wait until the second. I hope Sepncer/Ashley dont break up.

It doesn't compare to Degrassi. It has like 6 leads.. not 20 :P It's a good show-- don't get me wrong, but it doesn't compare to Degrassi. Life is more like Degrassi then SON.

I think its a good show , but degrassi is the best show ever...... maybe SON is the US version of degrassi who knows , but in this show there only talk about the sexuality and racism

IMO, SON is in a loop and most of its storylines involve Race or Lesbians. It gets boring after a while...thats probably why I cant finish my SONsite...

It's definitl;y more than raciam and lesbians, its awesome and if you think that than you don't really pay attention to the show that much.

It's not plain and simple of racism and lesbians. SoN is about feeling comfortable in your skin, which follows through the Carlin family and the people that the family encounters. What most of them realize though is that things aren't just skin deep. It's all about heart, love, and what's right for you. Gosh, I sound like Oprah or something. Don't compare SoN to Degrassi or any other teen shows to other teen shows because alot of them deals with the same damn issues people.

I am not that big a fan of it.. Its too over dramtic. and I know a lot of lezzies and stuff(i go to an all girl school) And its not that dramatic!!! Its so doesnt even come close to degrassi!!

Altough it doesn't come close to degrassi i think the show is pretty much okay as far as content goes. I mean there are only so many topics you can cover so i think it's bound to repeat istself over and over agian. Besides i honestly don't think it's going to last long.
