German women won football (soccer) world cup

Germans women football (soccer) team is the first team to defend the title
and the first team to win without any goal against.

They defeated Brazil, which defeated the US in the half final 4:0, 2:0.

Still women's football isn't that popular in Germany, and the victory remains unnoticed by great parts of the population.

Is is popular in the country you're living in?

Soccer isn't all that popular in the U.S. I don't like watching televised sports, but I enjoy watching our team play.

Female sport in our country is rarely televised. Unless it involves females swimming or running our media doesn't seem to care

We had the female world cup televised by one of our cultural networks however. I didn't know there was a female world cup until I saw it on the tv

We did well and I think female sport should be put on par with male sport.

I'd probably watch more sports on television if it were women instead of men. Beach volleyball for the win! That's easily my favorite televised sport and I will ALWAYS stop for it, no matter what else might be on, while channel surfing.

the only thing that the us tv shows seems to be football, basketball, and golf.

i really prefer soccer, since it is constant action, without all too much breaks. and yes, the german womens team is better, but gets by far less recognission. the mens team was celebrated for the 3rd place, and no one cares bout 2 1st places..

i personally consider golf to be more boring.

in baseball, you at least have a chance to hit a bird
