I'm certain I can save up a few thousand dollars to attend in 2010; after all, I have three years to do it!

But I would never attend the games until a year I could get tickets to the finals. I'd rather wait to live the whole thing than small parts here and there. However, if something else comes up in the next few years, I'll settle for any World Cup =)

I would change it up per game. Germany, Iran, and Italy. Iran will never play either of the others, so that's easy. If Germany and Italy end up playing each other, I would have to decided then and there. And I don't make decisions based on who I think will win; I make them based on who I feel most loyal to.

Yeah, I know. I hate people who go with the team who is winning. It's lame, and it's so backstabbing. I mean, if it was Germany v. Italy, I have loyalties to both sides - as I've got a bloodline from both places. But I'd decide based on the previous games and which team carried my interests and pulled me more. It's all about the heart. Heart IS the game.
--------
I take it back! If it was Germany v. Italy I would, without a doubt, cheer for Germany.
--------
Wow! For all the disjointedness of England and their terrible plays, they sure stepped it up in the last ten minutes. Granted, Trinidad and Tobago were probably just really tired, but ANOTHER stoppage time goal! And Trinidad and Tobago's almost-goal in stoppage time... This is a greally great World Cup.

I hope England actually starts playing up to their potential in Stage 2. I don't blame the English for booing them in the first game. Even with this last win, I'd have booed =P

Ok so England won the their game 2-0. however they were playing for shit - and i can say that cause i'm English. For a start they had so many chance's to score but did not manage to get a goal to the last ten minutes of the match, and even when they finally scored twice still Trinidad and Tobago managed to score but was disaloud because they were off-side.

I really hope England are going to start playing better in the secound round because, if they carry on playing like they have been, they won't make it to the next round.

Plus over herer there is a good bet going round at the moment that theo will not be playing in the world cup. They flew him but he is not even been played yet.
If you are not going to play him why take him, he may be a trump card for England but nobody has ever saw him play so we don't know what he can do.
When they do put him on he is going to be under alot of preasure to prove him self.

thats the end of my rant at the england side for now.

I couldn't agree more. England's pay looked, to me, like a bunch of guys who'd never played together before and had no idea what they were doing. It was almost sad. It was sad! I'm actually disappointed that they're moving to stage two with the way they've been playing. I would much rather see Croatia, who put up a hell of a fight against Brazil, make it in. I hope they win their next games and advance. Hope hope hope.

That would be Theo Walcott, one of England's Fowards.

Holy crap, did anyone catch the Argentina v. Serbia and Montenegreo game? I caught the last fifteen minutes, and Argentina CRUSHED them! Was it even a remotely evenly matched game? Or was Serbia and Montenegro just having a really bad day of play?

i really didn't watch it and i'm pretty bummed about it caused i would have loved seeing a game that 6 goals where scored by the same team!
from what i saw in the highlights i think argentina was just putting on a clinic!
--------
i think it was a combination of both

Yeah, the US is going to be slaughtered. And I like Italy more, anyway. GO ITALY! =P

I'm pretty depressed about Portugal advancing and Iran being out. Bleh. But they played a great game. For the time they had posession, they did a well.

I just saw the U.S. is tied with Italy and I shut it off. If Italy loses to the U.S. I will puke. I can't watch. Someone tell me if Italy wins, ok?

It was a draw, 1-1. Very disappointing. I expected more from Italy.

...and I missed the whole game. Had to go out to the airport. But I got the score when I got home.

=(

Sorry to have to break the bad news. Though I (clearly) am rooting for Germany, Italy is the runner up in my world cup heart. They'll make it to the final sixteen, but... step it up!
