I'm glad I'll be able to see all the games tomorrow. I won't have anything to interrupt them. Brazil, no matter how much I loathe them, will rock =)
yeah i'm so looking forward to seeing brazil play!! and i wanna check out france too see how they are doing...that's all coming up tomorow!:big-smile:

Yeah. I'm torn on France and Switzerland, though. I love both countries!

I was actually hoping Iran would win. I'm sick of hearing politics and shit during a game.

I saw Mexico v. Iran today. Since I'm in the states I saw it on network television here, and it was interesting how the cameras zoned in on the Mexicans and showed no Iranians in the stands, though you could hear their cheers in Farsi over the game. Not even an Iranian flag anywhere! They avoided broadcasting it - and kept mentioning political things instead of focusing on how the World Cup brings people together.

I really hope they don't continue to pull that crap for Iran v. Portugal and then v. Angola. Seriously - it's a game. Let people get together with their love for the sport and not ruin it with politics!

If Italy doesn't win, I root for France next, lol!

Is Iran still in the game, though? I hope so....haven't been to Iran, but I love Iranian movies and would love to visit one day...

I ususally root for Italy first (since I'm Italian)
France (I'm a francophile...)
Morocco (brother-in-law is Moroccan)
Germany, Turkey.....Geez I love so many countries...

When my mom left Italy she lived in Quebec for quite a few years before moving to the States.....So I love Canada too....

Why I am talking about this? You got me started on countries, lol! Ya hit a good nerve....

I love Spain! I had such a good time there.

Iran's still got two more scheduled games. Italy I root for, since I'm part Italian and it's one of my favourite places in the world. I'm in love with that country.

My biggest problem is that I've been to so many of the countries in the World Cup that I want to root for everyone. I was rooting Czech Republic over the US, which is silly since I'm from the US, but... I loved Prague! AhhHHH!

Don't worry. I live in the U.S. and I don't root for the U.S...

Iranian and Italian is a great mix, btw...

Hehe, thanks!

Oh, and if anyone was watching Iran v. Mexico on network television, the announcer was lying when he said Iranians never go out into the streets to celebrate or watch sports games. The anouncer also said they only celebrated like that for their win against the US a while back. American television is full of such liars.

In Iran they actually installed huge tv screens into the main square in Tehran this year, and tons of young people gathered in the streets to watch the World Cup. A lot of Iranians went to Germany to see the games.

I am so sick of media lies.

PS (completely different): I'm enjoying the really cute players on these teams. Just another advantage to watching the World Cup =P

The media/government in the U.S. doesn't like to admit it, but we do the propaganda thing like everyone else.

Agreed on both accounts. Media = evil (it's a good thing I don't really watch TV), and soccer players are fantastically hott. If only they liked Star Wars... =P

I'm NOT taking that topic into this one. All this World Cup talk has me wanting the next games NOW!

Yeah, I can't imagine anyone not knowing Beckham. Unless the person's been living in a hole.

yeah.. i was kinda on the edge of my seat wondering when will france score.. but i think switzerland had the better oportunities...

wat you think of the brazil game? if it weren't for the gol by Kaka (the new love of my life ) right before the end of the half, it would have resulted in an less than impresive draw... and Dida really made brilliant saves to keep the score 1-0... i think the brazilians where lucky the croatians didn't finish their oportunities...
