Um, Italy has to tie in order to stay in the game, right? And if the U.S. loses, they go home, right? Where's France and Germany in this mix. They still okay? I haven't been keeping that close of an eye. Sorry for the dumb questions. I just don't like to always watch so early on....I get nervous.

I'm only interested because if this game ends 0-0 then Argentina plays Mexico; and the winner of that will play Germany. After Germany beats Sweden on Saturday.

They will win.

LOL! You sound pretty sure of that. I hope they win. I'll be watching that one most definitely.

It's totally okay! There are no dumb questions about the World Cup! Here's how it works: The two teams with the most points go to Stage Two (points are on the far right side of these images).

They get:
3 points for a win
1 point each for a draw

Germany already won their group, undefeated with nine points: they are going to Stage two.

Italy and the US are up in the air. Three points could be added to ANYONE, since they are ALL playing tomorrow:

France is also up in the air, same situation as the US and Italy:

For them, it all depends who wins and loses. There could be total upsets!

BY THE WAY: if two teams have the same points at the end, the team with the most total goals scored takes the spot in Stage Two.

That's why Argentina won first in their group, even though they had the same points as the Netherlands. Argentina had more total goals scored.

The U.S. won't, I think. I mean, they're hopeless. The biggie is Italy v. Czech Republic. They're both great, and I don't know who I should root for.
--------
Okay, Clint Dempsey should not do victory dances. That was sad.

But it didn't last long, within 4 minutes, Ghana got a penalty kick and they're up 2-1 at halftime.
--------
Woo, looks like Italy and Ghana. I'm sad for the Czech Republic, but the U.S. got what they deserved.

Yeah. I think I would just fall over if Italy didn't get into Stage Two.

yeah, they'd better start waking up cause that tie with the U.S. was extremely uncalled for.

If I find a video of the dance online, I'll link you up to it. Or if I get a few photos I'll just animate it =P

ESPN's clips from the game didn't have the dance, it only showed him pounding his chest.

You'll have to post some of the highlights. I'm not watching - it's my last day of classes and I'm finishing up (by that I mean starting) my final paper.
