| Jasper84 posted about his thesis project the other day, and that got me thinking about mine. I'm coming up on my last semester in engineering, and I need to think of a final design project. I am in a group of four, and our interests are in biological, mechanical, and electrical systems. Some examples of projects that have been done in this program in the past:
I hope that gives some idea of the type of projects that are acceptable. Basically, we need to think of some problem that needs solving so that we can design a solution. Does anyone have any ideas? Something along the lines of "it would be great if there was a device that..." Before anyone says it, I've already considered a matter transmitter ![]() |

| Interesting idea, I don't know a lot about the requirements for dialysis patients - do you mean something that they could wear on a daily basis to determine when dialysis is required, or do you mean for during the procedure? As to the millions, the school owns my soul, and thus any resulting patents. It's a one way flow of money ![]() |

| I suggest if you could design a control system that would link your brain to a hardware (E.G. TV) by wireless means (remote control). Its like disabled people that have no arm, but they can play piano with their artificial arm, only if artificial arm becomes a remote control then normal people could turn on and off things just with thoughts. Does it make sense? |
