I personally am a psp fanatic/hacker, and I am admin at my own psp site, any other psp users?

I am a general PSP user. Not a hacker but a user.

I'm posting now with my PSP. It's really just a PC substitute for me.

Neh, I prefer the DS, used to do some simple hacking for mine until I broke it(collecting money for it now). Though I have to admit, the PSP is very attractive in terms of homebrew and applications, it's just the official games on the DS that made me buy it. Kinda like how I wanna buy a Wii instead of a PS3/360...

yea, the homebrew scene is booming, myself being a part of it. I prefer the psp because it can do so much more from the start, watch movies, surf the web, listen to music. and when you crack it all the way open and add in homebrew apps and all of the other goodies (such as customization to the look of the GUI) just makie it my favorite little handheld.

Ah, I see you're using the built-in browser. Does it have Flash? Can you, for example, view YouTube? And how good is at that?

it does have flash but I'm not sure about the you tube support, not much into it, I'll check that out now (though I doubt it lol) anyone with custom firmware should check out my site at www.pif-forums.co.nr *edit* tried and failed newest version of flash is neccesary

what firmware do you have? have you ever considered downgrading? if it is possible from your firmware anyways

I see, what Flash version is in there? Is it a modified version?(doesn't work on normal flash)

I may get one now that its only $169. A buddy of mine has one and he does some crazy things on it.

its a modified version, but it supports some flash games and there are programs built in flash that non hackers can use via the web browser

The more I think about it, the more I could use one because I would use it a lot.

some freshman offered to sell me one that he had "messed up" while trying to hack it. Would there be some way to flash it at all?

I believe if you send it back to Sony and deny any knowledge of what homebrew is then they will replace it for you, if it is bricked then they won't be able to find out if you have run homebrew on it or not or used custom firmware etc.

And to answer the question I am a PSP user running 3.03oec at the moment, thank god for the 3.03 downgrader, I bought a copy of GTA as soon as I found out about it but it turned out to be a patched copy, so I went to my local game shop and they swapped it for an unpatched copy for free

im a huge Sony platform fanboy, so of course im in love with my PSP.

Just updated my firmware to 3.xx actuallly...

if sony won't replace it (you can try telling them you were upgrading to one of their firmwares, it works) then you can either get a modchip or a new motherboard, either is cheaper than a new psp, but can be difficult to install


official or custom firmware?
