| Myself, it would be cool becoming a electronic human and having an anti-DRM chip in my head for those cases where companies want to know a little more about you.. And having hovercars,etc... (it would suck though becoming sth like the Jetsons) How about you? |

| We will be living in solid steel metal boxes. Everything will be done via internet on a PC with virtual-reality glasses (work, study, socialising, shopping). The only thing outside will be delivery vans and lorries bringing our goods or crews carrying out repairs to the infrastructure (water, electric, antennas). When we do leave our homesteads we will have to wear protective suits because some terrorist group or government had polluted the atmosphere with a new deadly chemical. Or maybe all religions and governments (who would cause things like the above) would have been wiped out and humanity will finally be at peace. I wonder how they would have answered this question 100 years ago? |

| Less than 3 miles from the sea | I think it would be F'ing cold... Why, you may ask? Because of global warming, the north pole will melt. All of that fresh water will desalinate the north Atlantic and shut off the Gulf Stream. Northern Europe will freeze and trigger an ice age. The good thing is that it will counter global warming, bad thing is the permafrost will kill my roses. Scotland will be under a mile of ice so it's not all bad. ![]() |

| The politicians will still be arguing about the other side. We will be warned about global cooling and will have to do something with the influx of polar bears taking over the world. |

| That's some wacky expectations, though it would be kinda exciting to live through some of these. What I am expecting though, is most of our organs would be replaced by electronic ones, except for maybe the brain(and the sex organs too :P ), and now you can live forever!!! MWAHAHAHA!! *hits himself on the head* @c.dric: I will read that article, but isn't that the guy who thinks Artificial Intelligence will soon rule us and the world? Extreme Coder |

| I think before 100 years, somebody with too much power will gain access to the red button and in we'll be back to the prehistory. I've got to practice hunting with spears and all that for what we evolved some time ago. |

| Commentator | I think that as the modification of ourselves becomes more viable, and the modifications available increase there will be a split within society. There will be a (large) group of people who cling to "the old ways". These people will be those who dislike the idea of humanity attempting to rewrite itself using scientific advances, and want to "stay natural". The others will be those of us who believe that to be all you can be is as good a motto as any, and go right ahead with modification. Inevitably there will be an altercation between the groups, and the smaller, high tech group will probably just get up and leave. After a brief period of rejoicing in their "victory" the naturals will soon find something else to fight over, and things will slowly deteriorate. |

| The Coding Wraith | Well, if the human race as we know it still exists and people haven't been so stupid as to give robots full and proper AI without some foolproof safety thing, then I would say we will have some very advanced technology, maybe flying cars, and probably a lot of fear of nuclear weapons, or whatever the next big thing is. Also, all countries will probably be afraid of the US by then if the US still exists. I'm sure at least one country will have some sort of laser-satellite system to shoot down nukes before they can get to their country. Yes, happy post is it now? ![]() |

| in 100 years The united nations will have turned on religion, concluding its too problematic. Someone will attack the United States, and put up one heck of a fight, but the United States and its allies will prevail. After the war, and the elimination of religion, man will pronounce the age of true peace and security. Then aliens, while laughing, will destroy us all. A board with a nail in it wont help us this time. |
