<carves another notch on his keyboard> Honestly though, I didn't intend to be rude. It's unfortunate you were upset by what I said. I've been trying to be even nicer than usual lately.

Honestly, you need to watch what you say to people. You've no shame in your game. You're an Internet hijacker! You hurt peoples' feelings without even thinking about what you're going to say to them first. Everything that comes from you is frocked with rudeness, obnociousness and controversy. I'm even surprised that the mods are letting you get away with this stuff. Lighten up, will you, please? Take a step back and Come to the realization that you are making more enemies than friends. This thread is about baggy pants and the teens who wear them - not about insults to them or the members here. Think about that. Last edited by Daquan13 : 06-14-2008 at 09:56 AM.

You can say almost anything here, especially if you're a liberal, and its not against the rules. I don't think anyone is moderating anyway.

Apolligy accepted. At other forums, I say things as well that get others pissed off. But I'm not directing any of my comments toward them, and they STILL get mad, thinking that I'm talking about one of their relatives or friends. I don't even know their relatives or friends to even be talking about them! But that's the way thet their minds run; Narrow-minded!! Try to be a bit more understanding in the future. It helps Thanks. But you never know when a mod is watching. They've been coming here on occasion.

| The last few posts seem like a good example of different people having different concepts of rudeness vs directness - it's all a matter of perception. One person's "directness" is another person's "rudeness". Rasczak is not known for his diplomacy, or he might perhaps have rephrased as "If one is overweight, one can wear suspenders". But it's a fact of life online that some people are more direct than others in the way they speak - even more so than in real life - and one needs really to have a skin more thick than sensitive to get by if interacting with such people. Getting offended is really most likely going to achieve only one thing - upsetting yourself. |

| Yeah, but this thread is not about anyone being overweight. It's about the teens wearing baggy pants. |

| Fair comment, but in reality the concept of staying 'on topic' has almost completely been abandoned around here. And there is also a reasonable argument to justify that, in a forum with thousands of posts, but nowadays only ... what, less than a dozen regular participants. |

Suspenders will keep your baggy pants up. Fat or not. BTW, is this one of those lucid dreams I have, or did Kev actually... well, not stick up for me, but... Never mind.

| Oh. And it's mainly Black teens who like to wear baggy pants. Hardly see any White teens wearing them. |

| Probably because most of the rappers are Black and that was a great influence for Black teens to start wearing thug-style attire and baggy pants. But I think that Emenem and Ice-T wear them on the stage as well. |

| Depends on what you mean by baggy. By falling off your ass baggy I've noticed the same thing but baggy compared to your father's tight-fitting jeans and khakis doesn't imply that your shorts/pants are falling off your ass. "Baggy pants" were really a fad from the 90s and it was mostly a white thing back then. A more apt term would be "loose" nowadays, but in the 90s it was considered kind of radical. The trend has evolved I guess. Last edited by 1veedo : 06-17-2008 at 04:47 PM. |
