Jesus said if you have faith the size of a mustard seed you could move mountains. I read about this a long time ago when I was a young Christian and started wondering about it. I realized mine was a lot bigger than a mustard seed, but I was never able to move mountains with it. I was able to move smaller items like golf balls, pool balls, baseballs and even basketballs with mine but never a mountain, and God knows I've tried. Even recently, years later I found myself in a canyon trying to move at least some big rock with it but to no avail. I've made some small eruptions with it, but that's not moving any mountains. So, what does this mean? Is God a liar? Is he playing with me? Or am I just an inadequate believer? So, one day while I was fasting and praying for more, I realized God would never give me more than I could handle. And isn't that the Gods honest truth. I was so relieved when I finally understood Gods word about the size of my...well , you know what I'm talking about. I now have a firm, comfortable grasp on my...you know, faith, without feeling guilty that mine isn't the same size as other Christians, and the feeling is so good when I lie in bed at night knowing Jesus loves me anyway. Is your faith bigger than a mustard seed, and are you comfortable with it? Last edited by wherespapa : 09-29-2007 at 03:09 AM.

My faith is a mustard seed. I keep it in a little box, in my pocket, so as not to lose it. Well, I did actually lose it, but then I got another. And when I say lose it, I mean smoke it. But that doesn't matter, right.

mustard ... that sounds so tasty! I can't stop thinking about food! This week, I've been a bit sick with a cold, and practically didn't eat for three days. Then we went to the grocery and got a lot of food, and ate and ate. The food was sooo delicious. It reminded me of a joke my wife made back when she was pregnant (or at least I could appreciate it more) ... when had an insatiable hunger from pregnancy. Once she saw the "Footprints in the Sand" poem ... and remarked that there was only one pair of footprints because she had eaten Jesus. Er ... I suppose it was even funnier coming from her, especially, because her views are somewhere between a liberal Christian or deist... ![]()

How exactly do you measure the size of your faith? Anyone have a faithometer?

Contrary to popular belief, the smaller the better. That is Gods secret weapon against all thoses Homosexuals and other deviant sex pots. Unfortunately, I got to understand that too late so was not able to shrink it back after all those exercises, operations and vitimins.
