Practical use for philosophy...hmm. Assuming that you mean the Science of Philosophy, not how people use their individual philosophy, it seems the only thing resembling a remotely practical use is to advance itself. Which, in actuality, is not very practical. However, my assumption is that you refer to practicality in a general view, as it applies to people in general. That is, not to specific people or individuals. If either of these assumption are false, then there are hundreds of practical uses for philosophy.

Unless you are a Psychologist or a psychiatrist (shrink), no damn good at all!
