Some sort of Agnostic I guess at the moment, I don't believe in any of the classical notions of God and I think ultimately the search for God is a futile pursuit as its beyond our means to know anything with any kind of certainty here... but I'm finding pantheism quite appealing these days.

Atheist. Religion is rather a silly concept to me.

Hmmm I find myself responding to this question a lot lately, so basic and yet so compelling I have read quite a few posts ahead of mine that I identify with, but what the heck, I will go ahead and add my own words, haha. As far as "religion," I don't know that I would call it that, I don't follow any creed or belong to any organized community, and I was raised in a pretty open-minded and non-religiously affiliated home. Instead I was taught to think critically and live compassionately, a philosophy that earns me the joking nickname of "moon maiden" from my friends. I have recently rediscovered my spirituality and have begun practicing yoga, with a sprinkling of buddhism and a lot of gratitude. Since begininng my practice I have been renewed; I have struggled with chronic depression for over five years now and for the first time I don't feel restless, lost, afraid, etc. But everything is a lifelong journey, and there are many paths. I find that my ideas/philosophy can find a friend from almost any background and I love connecting with people through a good book and/or discussion (a few of you have mentioned the writings of Kahlil Gibran, one of my absolute favorites!). I find that when I try to define my beliefs I usually end up getting it only half right, so I prefer to embrace most things with warmth and gratitude and combat negativity and fear by first finding it and mending it within myself.

Oh bugger...!

I'm a Pagan cos I wanted something different to the 'Exclusive Brethren' crap My Mother had been hauled into. I liked the ecological issues of worshipping nature cos without the Ubuntu like issues of depending on each other we cannot survive. My beliefs grew somewhat when other members of my family also became a part of what I am.

I don't worship Satan or even recognise "it" as a viable being to acknowledge its existence - after all its name means adversary - whatever religion you happen to be!
