I was just curious more so for the non married folk here and people who arent in a relationship. How often do you guys/girls have sex?

I know a lot of people these days have a regular friends with benefits thing going if they dont have a partner and was curious. Personally I only have sex if I am in a relationship so its been a while.

I think I lasted two months once...

On topic, though, when not in a relationship the time frame can vary, but within a relationship as often as possible. Eating and sleeping are secondary and tertiary, respectively.

I'm 19 and still havn't had sex, and I have no problems with it. My girlfriend and I have been dating for a year this October, and never have had sex. We agreed on it in the beginning, and we are sticking to that.

As long as both of you can agree, that's probably the most important thing. Personally, I'm with Brian, except I might switch eating and sleeping in the order of priorities...

While I commend your commitment, I think you should give it a try. As with anything, you never know until you try, but unlike everything else, there's no substitute for the real thing. Granted, it takes a mature attitude and agreement with your partner, but if you're mature enough to actively not have sex, you are likely more than mature enough to. Whatever you decide, all the best.

That is awesome. There is no reason you'll ever regret sticking to that agreement until you are totally committed or married to each other. From what I've read, people who wait, and then end up married to the partner they waited with report great sex lives as a couple, contrary to conventional wisdom.

Seriously no offence towards anyone who choose to wait but I call "Bullshit" on that one. Sex isn't a natural-born talent, you need to experience to have good sex and practice to have great sex. And as I've understod it especially for women. And if you are together with someone who you are waiting with and that relationship goes down the sink you have lost a whole lot of, probably, good or great sex. Anyway, my point is that I believe in conventional wisdom because of my experience. If I get to choose between a virgin and a slut I'd always pick a slut when it comes to sex

I have semi-regular sex with both of my ex-girlfriends. So far I think two weeks are the longest i've done without sex since i lost my virginity at 19. I prefere alot more sex in a relationship than outside one, because when not in a relationship I've always got myself and when in a relationship I just "use" my gf instead :P

Well at the moment, no sex for us.... Apart from being sore and lacking a libido, it is pretty much impossible (39 weeks pregnant)

We don't have a normal schedule, but however often we do or don't have sex we are both in agreement and we both keep the lines of communication open. Sometimes we have gone for months without sex and it has never been an issue, all because we don't let it become an issue. We are very open with each other

I will never forget the first time I had sex and the first few time I made love. There was a difference for me.

My first time having sex (intercourse) was when a certain girl who was a part of our group of friends took on 4 of us, one after the other. We were all teenagers. It was memorable in that I had never been that physically close to a person before then besides of course being inside my mother as a fetus (how do you get any closer than 'in' a person).

The first few times I made love to a person was unbelievably special. I had experimented with quite a lot of drugs by then and nothing compared to making love with a woman (I'm heterosexual). Getting lost in love is the best high or feeling one could experience.

I've found since those experiences of making love I have chased after it for years and years.

However, I was never an overly sexually active person because I learned the difference between having sex and making love early.

I tend to feel sorry for those whom have never made love because that is a tragedy.
