ABC News: 'Vegansexuals' Only Do It With Each Other

Quote:
Vegans, a new study has found, are grossed out by sex with meat eaters, and some so-called "vegansexuals" only want to roll in the alfalfa with other super strict vegetarians.

A recent study conducted in New Zealand found that vegans — notoriously finicky eaters who don't eat meat or animal byproducts, like eggs and dairy — don't like the idea of swapping spit (or anything else) with those who have been dining on flesh.

When I see this, I started thinking. And most of the vegan people I know hook up with other vegans.

I don't think I could have a vegan girlfriend. Don't eat this and that. So I don't think it is only sexual. It's much more difficult to, let's say share a good meal and a movie....

At least most vegans don't have a problem with having friends who eat meat and other things they "can't" eat. But they tend to make friends with a lot of other vegans/veggies.

^^,

Something I've never thought about either, but thinking through our circle of friends, it does seem that like minded people regarding their dietary choices, seem to pair up. Interesting article, thanks for posting.

Odd. I'm an omnivore and I have seen a lot of women who are vegans who I think are attractive.

When I met the woman who is now my wife, I had been a serious vegan for about a year. For some reason, she couldn't take it and somehow wore me down and I've gone back to eating whatever, tho I still can enjoy a vegan and vegetarian meal anytime. BTW, my wife came to regret pushing me back to eating meat.

Personally.. while i do not find vegan's repulsive.. i find some quite beautiful... but i would never have offspring with them. It is known in every traditional culture that certain vitamins only obtained from meat, especially A and D ensure optimal fertility... and healthy offspring. The foods widely known to ensure fertility for example are like eggs (especially the yolk) fish roe (eggs) , liver, butter from cows feeding off green grass etc....

What you eat affects the health of your children.. and as such I would not put a child in such jeopardy

And yes i know beta carotene is claimed to be as good as vitamin A but it is just not so

And vitamin D comes from sunshine etc..

Look at the weston price site for more info
