Default US Presidential Campaign

I was just curious to see what the spread of support was for the different candidates in the US presidential elections.

I'm personally not overly-pleased with any of the candidates thus far. I guess the Democratic Party could do worse than Obama, I'm less than enthused with Hillary, and while John McCain has in the past seemed like a pretty reasonable guy, I haven't taken the time yet to familiarize myself with him.

EDIT: Man, I'm clever. I mis-voted on my own poll. Subtract one from Obama and add it to "They All Suck."

The outcome of this poll is predictable, you'll get "they all suck" as the winner. Deep thinkers.

Oh yeah, and I'll probably be the only one who votes for McCain.

I'm not terribly surprised you went for McCain, but exactly why did you pick McCain? IE, what about him do you like, what do you dislike? I'm just curious.

Of those who have any chance of being elected, he comes the closest to sharing my agenda.

Hi Iandefor

Well for me and my choosing..

Someone like Obama that has a possible schooling of two years in the Muslim community scares me..I would think I dont have to actually reveal as to why...its self explanatory..

A female in the white house,,uh nooooo..especially Hillary who not only forgave her husbands infidelity time and again..but who does not show much mercy..although she is good a playing the mercy angel part..

I dont know if McCain is the answer..but I would choose him over the other two as he has been in contact with the real world of war and at least has an idea of what its all about..so maybe he can lead us into a direction of safety..well that is my hope..

Ok..take me apart I am use to it..

It's not self-explanatory to me. The man's a Christian, for better or for worse.

This is certainly to McCain's credit.

Sorry, that wasn't a good answer. My big issues are national security - protecting our country and national interests and limiting the size and scope of government. Some things I don't like about his history are campaign finance reform. Other than that, I'm drawing a blank right now.

Don't take this in a mean way, but, huh?

His two years in some watered down Muslim preschool are the least of anyone's worries. It's the last 20 years he's been associating with and supporting that angry extremist CHRISTIAN whackjob and his ilk that you should be concerned about. The guy is going around saying the government infected people with AIDS, and Obama called the nut his mentor and spiritual advisor and wrote a book about him.

Never mind the fact that he's basically a marxist. Muslim preschool is the last thing that is wrong with him.

Hi Iandefor

1. His mentor is biased and corrupt..why he found comfort in such leadership as to a path to Christianity behooves me..Do you know of his mentor and have you listened to him? as I am surprised you are asking me this..

2. I dont want to be condescending here but..Hillary is a woman..I am a woman..she goes through what I go through..mentally and physically the same thing I do..I have tried to spare you this..but the once a month rounds we are afflicted with. Please dont make me go into detail..

That being said..and the fact that she is cold as ice..I have no respect for a woman who allowed repeated offenses in regards to her husband trampling all over her with infidelity..ya we really need someone like that in the white house. She cant even brave up to telling Bill to take a fly and leap..so who needs that kind of immorality with leadership for a country..not America. You see if one is so willing to allow such despicable
acts of infidelity time and again..what does that say about her self esteem? what does that say about her period..

HI Ras..

I agree fully with you on this issue..no doubts.. Please understand even so the man had exposure to the Muslim community..watered down or not..it still goes back to the story I left on the Frog and the Scorpion..Obama is using his charm and wit to get into the office..I dont see any power under his rear..he has no flame at all..His charisma is selling out America and they are buying into it..we need a leader..not a patsy..to me he is a panty waste..not a man for office. A man who could be a good leader in the home..but not for a country..whats that old saying? nice guys finish last..

I see no indication he's a good leader in the home. He goes on and on with his palaver about change and optimism and all that, but everyone in his orbit, including his wife, is angry and pessimistic.

Are you saying that Christians living next to Muslims are bad Christians? What about Christians living next to Buddhists, Hindus or Jews?

Why does it matter what people around them believe?

And what about people who were Muslim, but converted to Christianity?

For that matter, if someone was Christian, and converted to Islam, are they ok because their "nature" is to be Christian?

This reminds me, there was a piece out the other day where it was said Obama would be a target of extremists because they have extra hate for Muslims who convert.

Hey..
I am saying he has had exposure...did everyone forget what happen with 911? I dont trust any of them..I try to remain positive,,but the are not to be trusted..thats how I see it..end of story..

A Muslim can covert to Christianity..if a Christian converts to Muslim then he never knew the Lord at all, there was no salvation on his behalf..because the God he served was not the true God..and unless you would want me to start preaching in here..though I am not a scholar, I can try to make my point here..but your best bet is to visit my site and clk on the keys to Jesus..your only way out of that truth on that page is a hardened heart...a person who comes to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ does not turn his heart bad to iniquity..and serve a non-existent God..now I know you dont want me to start preaching..

You can preach all you want. This is an open discussion forum. You just have to be prepared to contend with the responses.

The "heart" doesn't discern truth, the brain does. The heart deals with emotions, love, etc.
