Well, the jerk isn't even trying to find Osama Binladen; No, I guess not. Isn't his term over yet?

Can't get here fast enough!

I hardly think that this cowardly wimp is dead. He's using it as a throw-off to make us think that way!

Can you show some valid evidence that he is still alive? I have yet to see a valid sighting since reports of his death in December 2001. All video footage I've seen since then clearly isn't him.

I wonder how long this Orwellesce myth can continue to be perpetrated.

From what I've seen/heard in the media - all we have to go on - whenever one of the videos is released and analysed, the findings of the analysts quoted are that it either IS believed to be genuine, or is not conclusive. I would think that they would be more inclined to at least sometimes say it's definitely not him, if that were the case (given that there would be political mileage to be found in such claims, and many of the analysts I would think to be working for the Government).

As far as I'm concerned, it is known he was previously alive, so the responsibility of proof lies with those who wish to claim that he isn't.

I think you have things backwards. If we're going to go down the conspiracy theory road, my opinion is that our government has more to gain by allowing the world to think Bin Laden is alive. He's more useful alive and on the run, than dead and a martyr. Shallow people need a boogey man to chase, otherwise its too difficult to explain to them why we'd remain in Afghanistan.

Alive and hidden in a cave he's a figure head, but practically useless to those he's supposedly leading. In reality, I'm sure he has no operative leadership role anyway. Knowing he's dead would be nice, but it won't win the war. The other big names in Al Queda leadership we've already taken out are a larger step in that direction.

But, fortunately, I don't really dwell in conspiracy theories. The guy is most likely alive in a cave trying not to be found and killed or captured. Al Queda has moved on to continue slaughtering innocents without him, and they'll continue until they are neutralized whether Bin Laden is alive or dead.

Bottom line: killing or capturing Bin Laden does not remove the threat of terrorism.
