Little Boy Admits to Playing with Matches That Started One of the Monster Fires.

NBC NEWS, CALIFORNIA - A young boy has openly admitted to the autorities that he was playing with matches that had sparked one of the monster fires in California.

The fire that he started has eaten up about 3,800 acres of land which also destroyed dozens of homes near Malibu. To date, the boy has not been charged with arson. He was released back to the custody of his parents.

Kids do dumb things. I hope they don't ruin his life over it, although he certainly shouldn't go unpunished, either. It's a tough line to walk.

It sounds like they're still looking for other arsonists, too.

They are. Three other possible suspects are being considered for questioning.
