This is why if you want to come to the United Stated to take part in the American Dream, you should do so legally. This illegal immigrant comes here and lives and works against the law. He washes dishes for years at $5 an hour until he's saved up $60,000 to take back the motherland and buy a farm.

He apparently didn't know that you can put money in banks, wire it, mail checks, etc because he packed the whole $60k in cash into a duffel bag and tried to carry it through the airport.

Can't do that kids.

It was all confiscated. They're being nice and giving him until January to get the hell out of the country, but it doesn't look like he's going to get his money back. At least he'll be able to wash more dishes an earn enough money to buy another plane ticket out of here.

What's really amazing is, if I read this right, they might take $9000 he's received in donations to cover back taxes.

Anyone dumb enough to carry $60,000 in a duffel bag around almost deserves to have it taken away from them. Had he not been breaking any laws, he'd still have his money.
