Default China has right to US railroads?

Hi,

Recently I read somewhere that a high ranking Chinese official mentioned that, due to the very high number of Chinese people who died building the US railroads, they have a right to them, including the right to destroy railways using low-yield tactical nukes.

It sounds far fetched to me, but as it is a commie government which takes lessons from soviets and nazis on how to become "lords of the Earth" it's not entirely implausible.

Anybody else hear about this? Is it verifiable?

A search of the Google news archives doesn't show any mention of the topic.

What was the source that you read?

This doesn't sound very plausible. Why on Earth would they bomb their best customer?

No, they don't. The US is a sovereign state (and it's scary that many denizens of this forum don't think she is), and no other state has the right to interfere.

Also, as soon as the Chinese workers who built the railroads in the US touched US soil, they automatically fall under the laws of the US. If any accidental deaths occur whilst building a US railroad, it is the decision of the US judicial system who, if anybody, is at fault for that death. Again, China has no say in this.

Yay, let's bomb U.S! ^^

edit following Big Dave's suggestion:

Hello dear NSA, FBI, CIA, George W. Bush (especially you), U.S Government official, Google or anybody else reading this and being afraid of me being a potential terrorist,

I assure you that this previous single line "Yay, let's bomb U.S! ^^" was purely written out of amusement from the original post here and for fun as indicated by the "^^" emoticon. Incidentally, it was the song "Let's bomb Iraq" that inspired me to write this absolutely horrible and politically incorrect phrase.
I also assure you that I personally (I don't know about you) do not wish to bomb Iraq or any country and that I wish no harm to arabs or muslims.

I wish no harm to any U.S citizen (or any other human being by the way, but I think you are more concerned about your own citizens now) in the past, present, future and also all possible parallel universes.
I am not a muslim nor an arab (despite my "week-beard" (which is due to me being too lazy/busy/geeky to shave myself daily)) and do not condone any of the terrorist actions perpetrated by terrorists.

You may find out after some research that:
-I love strategy and FPS games (and especially undetected nuclear launchs as well as total annihilation)
-Flight simulations
-Games simulating assassinations of important people in motorcades with a sniper gun (ex: Hitman)
-as well as a lot of other things potentially corresponding to a terrorist's standard profile which I leave you to discover

But I assure you that I do not enjoy violence in the real world. I have never even used a real gun and don't feel any need to do so. (I would love to own a shinai however...)

I urge you not to arrest me just because of this little post I wrote in a moment of delirium.

Signed,
KIAaze
(I trust you for finding out my real identity rather quickly thanks to your powerful NSA and with the cooperation of Google.)

P.S: Please do something about the insecurity in your country. You know. The one which causes so many deaths by firearm. Maybe you should start by reducing the social inequalities.
It's horrible to see how many people get killed by firearms every year.
I'm afraid to visit the U.S as a tourist (even moreso as a student) because of this.
And please stop selling weapons to third world countries in order to ensure more security there too. (This also concerns other developed countries as well of course)

Come and get me! :P

I'm probably being watched ever since I had fun talking to the MSN Encarta bot.
I had some fun asking him about how to make bombs. ^^
I don't remember the exact answers he gave me, but I think it was something like "I'll keep that in mind." O.o

I already had my compass (for drafting) taken away from me at the airport in Frankfurt because I had it in my hand baggage. I just didn't even think about that when I took my pencil case with me.

Now I'm even a Free Software activist (i.e a communist for them maybe) and not a U.S citizen, so I must be on the most wanted list!

Seriously, even if the NSA's search engines find my post, they should be able to find out enough info about me quite quickly to discard it.

P.S:
But don't worry, I certainly won't fool around at airports or on U.S soil ever since I heard about that guy who got arrested for writing "There's a bomb" in the airplane bathroom. :/

Ditto to what RJ said. If they find that comment, be prepared for an FBI agent to turn up on your doorstep one morning.

There's an aviation website I frequent (look at my avatar!), and back in 2000 sometime, a member posted a question asking what would happen if a Boeing 767-200 were to crash into one of the World Trade Centres - this just happened to be the exact model of plane which crashed into both WTCs. After 9/11, the FBI somehow managed to find the thread, and they turned up on his doorstep too. The details about this are sketchy, but it appears that he got a very big grilling from the FBI, and they were very thorough in ascertaining that he had nothing to do with 9/11. The simple moral of the incident is that they can and do find comments like this on the Internet, and they will act on it if they do.

I'd suggest you edit your post and remove the comment, or at least re-affirm exactly what it is you mean.

Done.
Enjoy.

Oh, and I will not respond to any attempt trying to deviate this topic into discussions about U.S policies or gun control...

That line is great!

The rest of the post rambled on a little too much, but that first line added all the humour.

KIAaze, if what you wrote is exactly how you feel than say what you want, who cares about the U.S. Government and the cluster of a mess in the White House. People need to quit being scared and starting expressing their opinions.

Spoken like a true brown-shirt. You really want to live in a Nazi regime, don't you Big Dave? It makes you feel secure that there are thugs ready to beat up anybody who disagrees with you. Small wonder you don't see their conspiracies and protect them - you're one of them.

And do you know how much shit is spoken on the internet? Do you really believe they have the means to visit all of these people and threaten them all personally? No, they rely on making examples out of a small fraction, then publicizing those examples. And they rely on people such as yourself to do the rest - spread fear of speaking about the govt in anything but glowing terms.

Heil Hitler! I hope you enjoy your creation. It's a bit of a trap, you know. It's great when you're the dictator, or the dictator's pet, torturing and oppressing others. But then the tables inevitably turn, and you find yourself facing the very gun you built. Now you're the oppressed, and you whine about how terrible the system is. Just thought I'd warn you. You might want to consider supporting a system of freedom and liberty, for real. It's much more comfortable when the tables turn.

A small, free newspaper published by Chinese expats, mainly disseminating human rights violations committed by the Chinese Government.

Because if it hits the fan, the huge debt the US has with China will become meaningless. Gold and other natural resources will be currency and the US has the biggest gold deposits in the World.

And yet the US can interfere in other nation's affairs? Anyway, the question wasn't if China (or any other nation) has a right to anything US, but rather if a high ranking Chinese official made the aforementioned comment and is it verifiable?

a) Most of the Chinese people who built US railroads were forced into it.

b) If you think there was anything even resembling a court, tribunal, inquest, whatever, establishing why all those thousands of Chinese died and those responsible brought to justice, you better crack open a history book.

He framed them as 'those who control everything', and he advised others to censor their speech for compliance with the thought police. He seems to believe in them, like a child admires a cop, without acknowledging police brutality (or in this case, how the FBI often mirrors the Gestapo). I think it's important to see the roots of fascism and how it spreads fear in a culture, so I point it out when I see it. I don't know if it was "called for". I merely shared my view of what he was being. Big Dave seems to me like the kind of person who condones torture, defends the Nazis... I mean the Bush regime at every turn, etc. Everything is okay if it's the FBI doing it.

I really do understand how the US has become what it is. One merely needs to look at its citizens. In their hearts, they believe in iron-fisted control and brutality, just like the leaders.
