Default Gaddafi pushes United States of Africa at summit

Hmm... I wonder what the chances of this happening would be?

I think it is probably more important to establish respectable governments which are backed by the population and understanding to be diplomatic.(like with minorities) With those countries they can then form trade and border deals, or even lowering tensions, which may form into something EU-like. This is much like the EU formed, although the EU had that post-WW2 steal-and-coal and nuclear thing. And of course the cold war affecting it, causing the influence of the NATO. (know, US in there too)

I do not think a United States-like organization is a good idea for either Europe or Africa, because the cultural difference and adherence to nationality is probably to great. Also, i think that for organisation, smaller size is often better.
(The EU is not near as close as being a single govt as the US is. The whole organizational system of the EU is something like that of the city Amsterdam, i heard. Not that much, but on the other hand, lots of decisions there.)

Don't underestimate Muammar Al-Gathafi. He's smart and strong.
