If The White House was going to engage in such amateurish video editing to cover up "Mission Accomplished", why is that bar present in other video streams from whitehouse.gov? It also renders green in realplayer on my system. Sounds more like a bug to me.

I, too, am sceptical. This reminds me of the fiasco kicked up by the folks on the "man has never been to the moon" bandwagon when somebody noticed the waving American flag in one of the videos.

Certainly nothing to scream "US Government changes history!" from the rooftops over.
