Default Presidential Candidate - Mitt Romney

Ok, I know next to nothing about Mr. Romney other than that he is most certainly a front runner for the Republican party. I wasn't even thinking about researching him much until a rather knowledgeable person I know made the comment "Romney == Reagan" . So, I'll research him a bit, but what do you guys think about him?

My initial impression, is that he's just another pretty boy governor, but like you, I'll take a closer look as we get closer to the election.

Mitt Romney is a panderer. It's impossible to tell where he actually stands on the issues.

When he was Governor of Massachussetts, he was:
Pro-Gay Rights, Pro-Choice, Pro-Gun Control, and so forth; catering to the liberal majority in Massachussetts. Now, he's swung way over to the fundamentalist right-wing side of the equation, opposing gay marriage, opposing abortion, opposing gun control, and claiming that the president should be a man of faith. (?!)

If America is stupid enough to elect this man, I'm leaving.

Well, there are multiple ways to look at that. Perhaps he's setting his personal views aside to represent the majority?

Also, does he remind anyone else of Kerry?

I've heard him interviewed by a conservative talk show host, and he had a hard time giving straight answers to easy questions. That is a red flag right there.

I also don't think he could beat Hilary as easily as Giulianni. (sp)

I'd vote for him over any Democrat running, but he's not my first pick in the primary.
