Isn't it great that the Harper government has so much extra money lying around that they can afford to blow $21 million (up from the Liberals' $2.1 million in 2005) on a Canada Day party?

We've got 20 million (USD) set back for an Iraq victory party:

(I wonder if they should have spent that on body armor???)

Come to think of it, the government wastes money paying me to sit here and post on these forums all day, so I probably shouldn't be a hypocrite.

Well, one could argue that sharing information has a long term benefit though ... I've learned a great deal about other countries/cultures online.
