| Drank to much Mountain Dew | As a citizen outside America, the United States foreign policy is what matters most to me. As a political activist I lie to the left of the democratic party. (I come from Denmark and there I have previously voted for Enhedslisten and the Socialistic Peoplesparty (SF)) And of course I believe that Bush have not done much good in the world. I was against the invasion of Iraq from the start. The war was illegal and a mistake. But the president decided that invasion was the right choice and went on with it. Obviously the war was easely won, but the peace is hard to establish. Now the democratic party are running for the presidency with the slogan "our troops out of Iraq". I think it would be a major mistake to pull the troops out now. It would start a massacre and a humanitarian catastrophe in Iraq. Obviously the democrats are running for presidency on a domestic agenda. The invasion of Iraq was started and thereby was the point of no return reached. Now the coalition has to stay and finish the job, unless the western world wants the hate against it and islamic fundamentalism to rise to unknown hights. Let me point out that president Bush was elected by the american people and they therefore have their part of responsebility for this course of actions, as they would if the democrats pull the troops out leaving the Iraqi to themselves. The republican party started a glooming catastrophe and now the democratic party wants to complete it and make it an utterly and complete catastrophe. Senator McCain is one of the few people who actually has a realistic view on the war. If I was an american, I would not be in doubt as to where I would cast my vote. I would use a pragmatic view and vote republican, because that is the only hope of the coalitions troops to stay and do the job, and thereby the only chance of avoiding a bloodbath in Iraq. A life is worth equally to me no matter if it is a american soldier or an Iraqi civilian. |

| Drank to much Mountain Dew | I think it is pretty obvious. Everything the US do affect our lives! The US is part of the western world, as so am I. Therefore I am partly responsible for its politics, and the consequenses it imposes. Last edited by lakersforce : 05-14-2007 at 02:56 PM. Reason: Made it sound a little less rude |

| Though I would likely disagree (vehemently) with your politics in general, I think your analysis of the present situation is pretty tight. |
| In case it wasn't apparent, sarcasm is yet another free service I offer. Pacifism is a shifty doctrine under which a man accepts the benefits of the social group without being willing to pay -- and claims a halo for his dishonesty.---- Robert A. Heinlein | |
