why do teens have sex now a dayz at a very young age thats why you hear and see kids with diseases and such why is that what do you think is going on through there heads???????

idk...all i can say is that...they see it and learn it and then do it cuz they think its right..i guess

Yes. I think teens don't realize the impact that doing drugs and having sex at such a young age will have on their lives. A guy I knew in high school (two years younger than me) who was completely sweet and had a good-looking future ended up addicted to pot. Some people think that's nothing, but it escalated to taking shrooms, then ecstasy, then cocaine (and that's just what he admits to me)... before he was even 17 years old. It screwed him up badly. He even got a girl pregnant, and she had an abortion.

He has straightened his life out (now he's addicted to tobacco, but for now I overlook that). But it was a long and difficult road for him, and it only happened after he was arrested for drug possessionand forced into therapy/intervention. On several occasions he'd tried to kill himself - two of which I stopped by breaking into his house.

Drugs are not safe, I don't care what the circumstances. He tells me after once, ONCE taking cocaine he occasionally gets cravings for it. It's THAT addictive.

As for sex, that's something that can wait. Seriously. You don't HAVE to wait for marriage, I probably won't, but waiting to be ready for the emotional and psychological impact is a good idea. If you love someone, and they love you back, sex shouldn't matter. When I'm in a relationship that's heading toward marriage, I'll give that a try.

I'm 20 years old. I've been in college three years. I've never taken a drug. I've never been drunk (by choice; and because I hate the taste of alcohol, and YES, I can taste it no matter what it's in). I've not had sex, and been in three serious relationships (one year, two years, and two and a half years).

I don't feel I'm missing out on anything.

I'm not saying everyone who takes drugs or has sex as a teen will end up like my friend - that's not substantiated. But most people I know who did have had problems of some degree because of it.

i think that they think that they have 2 do that 4 they can be in the in groups

how is your friend doing now is he alright and hun you have really great point of views from this post i really understand what you've been through you saved ur friends life thats a brave thing to do and it must of hurt you because he was going to kill himself before you stopped ur a great person

Say what you will. The #1 problem is family! there is no family now-a-days. everybody is doing their own thing and parents and kids aren't talking anymore and no family values leads to no morals. kids aren't learning right from wrong or they just don't care and they're doing things either for attention or acceptance since they aren't getting any at home.

He's okay. Smokes a lot when he's stressed, but okay. He's always workin, and he's not very happy, but he sees there are good things ahead. He even went back to school to community college. Thanks for askin' =)

And I don't look at it like I saved his life. I just did what any good friend would do.

With sex I think it really has a lot to do with TV. How I can't count how times a company uses sex to try and sell a product.

With drugs it more of the group that teen hangout with and also "quick money". I don't think all parents try as well as they could.

No I really didn't struggle with any of them.

everything starts younder now. when i was in middle school, i never swore, and i barely even knew what alcohol or drugs or sex were. now im 18, and i do drink occasionally, but i have never tried drugs and i am a virgin. its sad for me to see friends who are even younger than me having sex all the time with random guys, but it seems like almost everyone does it.

well I think the world kinda forgot that there are kids and teens out there who are in trouble or in need of help so they do drugs and have sex because they think that they will get noticed! I was in a tough position when my stepdad raped me I didnt get a choice on keeping my virginity or not. but life goes on and if you just get your opinion and word out then maybe kids wont think that they are alone anymore.

You can't get addicted to pot......

I don't know the media maybe. I never had sex before so not all young teens are like that.
