As far as the reasons for the war. I believe EkOnomik's avatar says it all.

hmm, considering Cheney's shooting record, the number of casualties by friendly fire would go through the roof

Would put a hell of a spin on diplomatic relations.

Cheney: So Prime Minister Blair. I caught wind that you might want to completely back out of the coalition of the willing. Tony Tony Tony, let's discuss this over a little quail hunting.

Sorry bad joke, but I could not help it.

30% of the people support the war in Iraq now. Yet we still struggle through losing troops everyday. Nuff said.

I would be quite pleased if voting for a war carried with it an obligation to serve, or at least be draftable.
Vote for a war, you can be drafted. Vote against the war, you won't be drafted until all the war-supporters get drafted first.

A shame it's not possible to actually enforce, but it'd certainly cut down on needless wars.

The question is though, what else can go wrong in that short amount of time?

Good question, but with the Dems. basically in control of the House and the Senate; not much.

I think only those who are or have served should be able to start wars!!

That would help change things. I would be okay with a Commander-in-Chief, who had never served, leading a defensive war.

Things go awry everyday in this administration, it's comical. At least the Bush administration can be seen as artistic. Like Shakespeare or Woody Allen, it's all either comedy or tradgety. It has provided a good living for Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert.

The worst part is, he and the other New Right can mostly talk themselves out of trouble.

He's Teflon President #2.
