Default any TOOL fans?

Are there any TOOL fans here? I`ve been lately to TOOL concert here in Poland. There was not only TOOL. It was the whole festival. I was so lucky - won 2 tickets on the radio to this festival. Man, it was great. TOOL live is superb. It`s not only music. It`s breathtaking show with lighting and animations on tv screens. Has anyone seen them live? If so, what`s your opinion about it?

p.s. sorry if my English is bad

I saw Tool live in 2006 at the Download Festival in the UK and they were excellent. Maynard's interaction with the crowd is unique and not the usual curse filled random abuse that most heavy(ish) bands use.

The only problem that they had there was that they had only just released their new album, and it was obvious that the crowd didn't know their new songs. Still, an amazing performance though.

Would love to see em live again.

Not a fan. Some people love 'em.

Saw them at Øyafestivalen , but I wasn't too impressed. Didn't do anything special for me until the last songs. The melvins was much better. (Drum heaven)

Never got it. Not saying it's a bad band. But what is it with tool, that make you like them that much?

They're probably the most under-recognized band. Tool has the unique concept of not appearing in music videos or having too much publicity, they want their music to speak for itself. I've been a huge Tool fan since they released their Ænima album in 1996.

From their latest album you can tell they've matured a lot in their music. The guitar riffs by Adam are awesome!

Live performances are amazing. LOL, before Maynard use to dress as a women sometimes at his concerts. Love the theatrics.

mallow, do you listen to A Perfect Circle? It's Maynard's side band. APC is pretty good too.

You should really hear Danny from Tool play his drums, he's freakin genius on the drums. I recommend you listen to Stinkfist & Aenima.

I would give Tool another try, only cause they're not your average band. They incorporate a lot of elements in their music. What they do is pretty mind blowing from an artistic perspective. Check out this video of the Fibonacci sequence in one of their songs: YouTube - The Fibonacci in Lateralus
