Whee! I play the alto sax, acoustic guitar, and the piano, and I can follow along on the drumset, bass guitar, trumpet, flute, and probably a few others I can't think of right now. I'm more of a dilettante so my instruments are pretty cheap--a Bundy (gasp!) Selmer sax, some nameless Korean brand guitar, and a Kawai piano. Really like Washburn guitars though. I guess I like to dabble in most styles of music (see above) but I really love jazz. Like most people I started with a classical background but every saxophone was made to play some jazz. I've taken a few courses in music theory and jazz improvisation, but I'm mostly self-taught on my instruments and I improvise mostly by ear.

I play Theremin, Synthesizer, Programs, and some vocals. I used to be able to play the clarinet fairly well, but I haven't picked one up in years. I wish I had more of a classical background with piano, that would make me a far better Synth player, but I don't have the time to take classes on account of University. I am self taught on everything, except the clarinet. I like playing strange (and often electronic) styles of music. Currently I am in an Industrial band, A Death Rock Band, and a solo EBM project. I would like to get into making some acid jazz at some point. My main two instruments are my Synth, which is a Korg, and my computer, which is Ubuntu Studio. I plan on designing and building my own Theremin this summer, which would make my third instrument.

My first instrument is the sax, but I know mellophone and clarinet. Right now I'm learning guitar, I have an Epiphone Les Paul Jr, but it seems to have been modified. I'm trying to trace it back to see what information I can get on it, but I am having problems finding it. Any suggestions in my search? Oh, and the amp I'm rocking is a pignose. I'm so vintage it's hardcore! hahaha I like country, and rock, and some electronic music. Jazz is pretty good if done right, my biggest musical pet peeve are bassist who think they're all that and all they do the entire song is walk the chord in quarter notes. Yea, that's really talent. ![]()

i play bass guitar, although i used to play guitar...but found that it isn't for me. i love the sound of the bass and i like the fact that it is the driving force of most music. i like all types of music except for country, thrash metal, hard core techno, opera, hip-hop and rap where the lyics aren't intelligent(usually the case in 99% of cases), and classical music that uses brass instruments. i sometimes listen to cheap throwaway music, but i have no respect for the 'artists'. its just background music for me. i most like indie and jazz.

Play guitar/bass, basic drums (still learning), and starting on piano. I'll listen to just about everything as long as I'm enjoying it. I write mostly a mix of death metal, modern metal, with some electronic and orchestral stuff worked in. I primarily use my 2 Jacksons and crap Kramer bass (which has been on loan to someone for a couple months now) through a V-Amp2 into my computer. For drums, I use EZDrummer with DFH for and assorted synths for strings, piano and other instruments. here is my lastest track SoundClick song info: Tchykinasough by Dead Alliance - Heavy, loud, metal, crap.

Pic 1: assorted pedals, V-Amp2, keyboard Pic 2: jackson that I keep in low tunings (edit: oh yea, that's a banjo in the back) Pic 3: crap crate head and behringer BH412S Pic 4: jackson that I customized. removed stock pickups and redid electronics. Neck p/u is something I grabbed from a friend. forgot the brand, sounds nice though. Bridge p/u is a duncan JB. originally it had a volume, tone, and 5-way but I've since removed the 5-way, drilled a new hole and added a 3-way toggle

I play mostly heavy rock such as Metallica, System Of A Down, Green Day etc. If you want to check out any of my playing here is my YouTube channel: YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. Below is a picture of my Les Paul and my Explorer, I also have a Fender Strat, Fender Precision Bass, and another bass I picked up a while ago but I cannot remember the company that made it as I took the name off the headstock and put my initials on it.

OK, here are a few questions for you. 1) Do you play? 2) What do you play? 3) What models, etc? I play guitar, drums, trumpet, and I kinda noodle around on piano. I learned on my mom's 70's Kay acoustic. My first guitar was a Synsonics piece of crap electric. I then got a Kay acoustic of my own a while later. Then I bought (almost) the best guitar I've ever played, an Aria Pro hollow-body electric, looks like BB King's Lucille. After that I got a Danelectro lefty, and just recently a friend gave me a Yamaha 12-string. My amps, a Kustom 5 watt, a Crate 15 watt, and my baby, a Peavy Delta Blues tube amp. Oooooohhhh she sounds nice. I play my friend's drumset, it's mostly tama and zildjian. I started on a Conn Director trumpet, brass with a copper bell, back in 5th grade. In 9th grade I got a King silver trumpet. I need to start playing some more. I have a crappy yamaha keyboard, and an 80's yamaha synthesizer.

| Interested participant | I studied the piano during ten years, but stopped about almost 20 years ago. My last music experience was few years ago composing and playing electro-techno music with samplers, analog filters and other various electro machines include computer. Kids and work take much time at this moment, but i m impatient to play again ![]() @matthew: good idea to merge threads |

I play drums, piano, and some guitar as well... Lately though, I've been addicted to the ukelele more than anything ... I've been practicing bluegrass and classical on a Martin ![]() I have a Pearl Rhythm Traveler drumset, a Korg Triton synth, Seagul and Stratocaster guitars, and other assorted instruments like Djembes, asiko (sp?), congos, ... and a barebones studio set up (with a roland vs-880). Although I've always been more interested in writing music than playing though...
