| I Am Lengend, the new film which stars Will Smith, has trounced well over the other 3 box office hits this past weekend! It raked in about $76.5m or so. The film has opened in theaters nationwide this past weekend. Smith, who is best know for such mega box office blockbuster hit films as Independence Day, I.Robot, Men in Black 1 & 2, Bad Boys 1 & 2 and Pursuit of Happyness, is once again starring in a sci-fi flick which looks to be very good and has gotten off to a very good running start! Ground Zero also appears in the film. His real-life son Jaden Smith who played his son in Pursuit of Happyness, stars in this film also! Don't know yet if he's playing Smith's son in this one. ![]() Last edited by Daquan13 : 12-20-2007 at 08:19 AM. |

| Stirrer Of Shit | From the previews it looks like a good movie. Smith was great in Pursuit of Happyness, but I don't like the style of most of the other movies. I think he'd do great as a serious actor. |

| He WAS serious in Pursuit of Happyness. But I think he's a box office star. Everyone flocks to the theaters to see his movies. |

| I do believe his son plays as his son in the movie but its not a significant role...The movie was great and he does play a serious role. I don't think its bad when he plays the not so serious roles Rasczak is referring to. |

| Well, in any case, I saw a little boy sitting in the back seat of a car that looked like him (Jaden). Smith was driving and a woman was sitting next to him. |

| Stirrer Of Shit | It's not bad, I just don't enjoy movies like "Bad Boyz." He has the potential to do well in serious films. |

| Well, it has to work its way up though the ranks before it can be considered a really big hit. If it becomes nominated for any awards, then it's considered a big hit. |

| Hmm. I enjoy Badboys but more as an action comedy. I actually just enjoy his partner whom the actors name I cant recall...I agree tho, will smith is lame when he plays characters like that. Its like...he does a great job at playing them, but not many people like that type of CHAR |

| His partner in that film and its sequel is Martin Lawrence. I just found out that his daughter Willow Smith IS in the movie as well, so maybe both son and daughter are playing in the film with him. The film had slipped into 2nd place this past weekend just above Alvin & the Chipmunks. Last edited by Daquan13 : 12-25-2007 at 07:50 PM. |

| Stirrer Of Shit | I saw it yesterday. Good movie. Yet another take on the zombie/end of the world genre. Think of an Americanized version of 28 Days Later. |

| I saw it as well, I really liked it. I haven't read to original book so I don't have anything to compare it to though. I thought the breakdown in human behaviour of the infected humans was interesting. [spoilers] Although the ending was good, it could have been so much better if Will Smith ran into the infected humans shouting "I am Legend", that would make a memorable moment. I thought the quality of the film was good but it lacked in memorable scenes. [/spoilers] I've made the spoiler bits white, you'll need to highlight them to make it visible. | shouting "I am Legend" ? IM sorry that would be a horrible HORRIBLE ending, i would feel so jipped, no one calls themselves a legend...while doing what he did. Thats just like saying, I AM AMAZING or something stupid like that... I did not like it very much, what he did, but it was understandable as there was nothing left for him.... SPOILER * VVVVVVVV I would have liked to have seen more of the results of the cure he had at the end...with the girl that supposedly got cured whlie being immersed in a tub of ice...leading to hypothermia which would kill the human anyways but....nevertheless, i would have liked to see more of that. |
