Default I, Robot

I seen this movie a little late. I heard of it before, but I didn't see it.
Recently, I seen a half of it at a relative's house. Then I saw it's really cool and had to borrow it. The movie's awesome, the story is awesome, special effects are nice, Sunny is awesome, Will Smith's a good actor and there are some jokes. And nothing comes out like you'd expect. If you haven't seen it (like me - well, now I did), I suggest you do.

What do you think about it

great movie, could really happen years from now, except it will probably be intentional by man, you knw, like hack into the industry and take control of a robot army. lots of movies with will smith bring up interesting thoughts. Going to go see I am LEgend TONITE. what would it be like to be alone for three years.

I saw it also. Will Smith is a great actor!

I'm still wondering why they called it "I, Robot" when it bore almost no resemblance to the collection of short stories upon which it was supposedly based.

It really only had a small similarity to the last story, I think called "The Evitable Conflict", wherein the idea of the First Law compelling robots to take the reins of human society was discussed.

Even then, it bore almost resemblance to the way the idea was portrayed in the movie. In the book, it was discussed as a very subtle and generally positive change- the robots are clearly competent to govern effectively and are fundamentally benevolent entities- better than any human could ever govern. In the movie, it got turned into a b-movie "Frankenstein's monster" kind of scenario- man's creations getting out of hand and all that.

There were some interesting ideas surrounding Sunny's personhood that Asimov didn't really explore in his original work, but I think they would have done better to distance themselves from the original book.

Well, Smith seems to do very well in sci-fi movies.

I did enjoy his latest- I Am Legend.

My problems relate mostly to the way the movie was written, not necessarily Smith's acting.

I still have yet to see it. I like just about every film he's done!

It's one of my favorites. All of Will Smith's movies are good, at least the good ones are.
Is this place dead yet?...
