It was awesome. 2 1/2 hours of kicking ass. Go see it, all of you.

Question Re: Transformers

I really want to see it, but I am afraid of it being ruined by my memories of the original show. Does anyone who has seen it have the same issues?

If it is really different then I can just resign myself to it. At least the effects are awesome.

You will NOT be disappointed. The voice of Optimus is the original for cryin' out loud. And while Megatron voice acting isn't historically accurate, Hugo Weaving does an outstanding job.

There's only a few minor discrepancies from the original, in terms of who transforms into what, however the movie actually does a fantastic job of explaining how and why the robots are able to become machines from earth, so it really shouldn't bother you when you see what I mean.

ZOMG I saw this just yesterday and it was awesome! Optimus Prime kicks butt!

Though I think they could have focused more on the Soldier guy instead of the guy and his girlfriend. That's just my opinion though.

PS - I won't go to a theater to see it, but it's definitely a renter.

I thought it was worth seeing in the theatres. Great movie for the kids too.

i enjoyed it as a movie but basing it on the cartoons is going to ruin it for you.

I watched it, it was great too. Can't wait for the sequels.

I don't know if anyone caught the "Mind of Mencia" episode on comedy central where he rants about how his friends didn't think transformers was believable enough . . . thought that was funny.
