| Hey, I went to the cinema to watch The DaVinci sode a week ago, and i must say i enjoyed it alot. I like films that make you think, especially the religous ones. After watching i could understand why Christians/Chatholics were peed off - (no offence) what did you think of the film? did you not go because of your faith? - Why didn't you see it? Are you planning on seeing it? Do you believe thats what could have happened? P.S - I'm just asking people's opinon on the film i don't mean to offend anyone's religious beliefs. |

Faith would have no bearing on my decision to see it or not, as I'm atheist. I find religious people and religion in general to be fascinating specimens. As far as the plausibility of the plot, that's two-way. I like how the story portrayed Christ as a man and not a god. It makes much more sense that way, since the traditional stories are just ridiculous. Could it have happened? Well, that depends on the evidence. I'm not even convinced Christ existed outside of the imaginations of his followers, but if he did I'm sure he was a regular guy. The secret society thing is the part I find to be most real. I don't doubt that would be possible - there are many secret societies dating back what seems like forever ago. But you have to remember something: The Da Vinci Code is a FICTION novel. And far too many people take whatever they read that's set in a believable place and time to be true. PS: Can an albino be an assassin? No. Their vision is pretty bad. Go watch The Albino Code. It's dumb, but cool.

| personally i'm a christian but I think its dumb to take the movie seriously. Its just a movie they call it fiction for a reason. No one is saying that thats the way that it actually happened. and everyone has their own beliefs of the way things happened. I havn't seen the movie yet but i'm going to see it on sunday. I hope its good. |

I think the whole uproar is the result of a bunch of Christians who don't want other plausible ideas to be presented to the public.
