Yes. Just be prepared for some bad extras, and a strange scene of peter dancing. I thought it was good though, not as good as 2, maybe as good as 1

I was going to go see it today, but got a scratchy throat yesterday and decided not to chance making it worse. I've heard very mixed reactions about it. A lot of people seem to think it wasn't as good as 1 or 2, but is still worth seeing, at least.

Step-daughter saw it. She commented that it was a good movie.
From her, that is high praise.

It's not too bad. It could have been a lot better but seeing it once is worth it. I wouldn't watch it more than that though.

Saw it yesterday. It's good action, but perhaps a bit too long... 4/5 star?

Saw it with the kids. Well, hum, did not get bored or anything, but not the greatest movie ever.

So, here's what I thought about Spiderman 3...

PROS:
  • Spiderman
  • Black Spidey suit
  • Venom
  • How the Sand Man came to be

CONS:
  • Some flubbered out computer generated scenes
  • Final fight was more of "okay we made up, lets make the movie"
  • Some moments where you were thinking "Peter! YOU IDIOT!"

Overall, I thought it was good. But it was more of a bad company profit graph ... it just kept going down with a few raises.
For example, I thought the little brawl between Peter and Harry (is that his friends name?) was nicely done. The outcome of it was nice, too. But the following scenes, while good, were not as good.

I recommend it, but maybe as a feature film on your next DVD Movie Night at your house.

I liked Spider-Man 3, a lot of people tanked this movie. I guess its one of those you either love it or hate it kind of movies.

I saw the first 15~30 minutes of it, before electricity went out on my friend's house. It seems too overhyped actually.

I saw it this week and it was quite good. Some scenes and dialogues were a bit simple and some scenes even made me laugh (I don't think they were intended to ). But it's a comic, at last. So why wait for depth?

I thought it was good, but not Spidey 1 or XMen 3 good. I did enjoy it though, if you're looking for a fun movie it's definitely fun. My girlfriend and I found ourselves laughing at supposed-to-be serious moments, but hey, it's based on a comic book! That really made it even more fun.

It sucked.

The plot was confused.

The dancing in the middle was moronic.

The whole film could not decide what it wanted to be - moral tale, love story or actioin.

complete rubish. the writers didnt even try. the CG the worst of the trilogy. sandman was completely unnecessary and was forced into the plot. and emo peter parker looked like a clown.

just hollywood milking another successfull series. they should've stopped at number 2.

Ok, if you're talking from an artistic point of view.
Now from a scientific point of view, THIS IS COMPLETELY ABSURD for a "Particle physics test facility".
Particle physics is not about studying sand particles!
And they don't have giant holes filled with sand and a gigantic rotor over it.
They have particle accelerators, scintillators, detectors, multiwire chambers, photomultipliers...
The most dangerous thing I could imagine would probably be to be imprisoned in a giant vacuum cave like the one used for the KATRIN experiment, be exposed to liquid nitrogen, be exposed to an ion beam from some accelerator or to radioactive material (and those last two are more in nuclear physics than in particle physics).
Oh yeah, you could get drowned in the super Kamiokande experiment too... ^^

But, well, it's a movie and possibly far in the future where things have changed...

Yes, here I agree.
Why did he kiss the other girl in front of millions while he was still the nice spiderman in red???

And how can he still be unknown when he takes his mask off so often?

That's exactly what I did. But unfortunately a friend of mine with whom I watched the movie didn't join me laughing. He got quite angry because it's not been the first movie I've "ruined" Well, I should perhaps learn to control my humour.
