Ok, so I have this crush on this guy who's in 5 out of my six classes. I really like him, and he's said that he likes me a lot. When I asked him to Sadies (Sadie Hawkins dance), he told me to ask him later when he wasn't with his friends. I know we've never been in the same social circle, (I'm more introverted and intellectual, he's more extroverted and social), but he never really cared about it. He did end up saying yes, but on the day of Sadies, he suggested that we skip the dance and go do this volunteer thing for the forgotten childrens fund (Sadies was on friday). We skipped the dance and still had a good time, but I get this feeling that he doesn't like to be seen with me around his friends. What should I do about this?

I'd be upfront and ask him about it if it happens again, and then take it from there. Don't get really mad about it, just try and figure out what's going on.

you cant go wrong with that. Being a guy, I can relate. We dont really like to be around gilrs when were with the guys sometimes. Other times, we love to have girls around us when were with our homies. But good luck

I think after a while... as he gets to know you better... he may feel more comfortable about hanging out with you when his friends are around...

yeah i guess that would be true too

it might not be that he dosnt like spending time with you when he is with his m8s or dont want you to be seen with him it could be that his m8s tease him about you saying things that could upset him cos he really likes you.
or could even be he dosnt want u to see him with them as he wants to show you that he isnt like his m8s that are always causing trouble etc (this might not be the case here, but is a common thing)
