Learning math beyond a certain point is useless, especially if you hate it and it's hard. Math confuses the shit out of me and I do not need it for anything other than to graduate. When am I ever going to need to know the quadratic equation or proofs?

I don't really hate any of my classes, it really depend on what we are learning at time.

I would say my worst class would have to be english, i'm no good at the spelling and writing down what i want to say on paper.

That depends on what you want to do with your life. For one, your computer is constantly using these equations to perform the tasks you assign; but I'll assume you don't care about that.

Engineers, programmers, scientists, economists are the obvious ones. What if you want to be a carpenter? A mason? Welder? Architect? They all use the equation to build things in proper dimensions, usualy relying on special triangles so they don't need to compute complex squares in their heads.

However, this misses the big point. Things such as proofs or the quadratic equation teach a higher level of thinking. They build problem solving skills and logic. The more math someone can do, the greater skill they have in creatively solving problems of any kind.

Assuming you don't see yourself as someone who solves problems, even everyday arguments are best won by people with high math comprehension. After all, logic is math, and logic wins arguments.

Hell babe the only jobs I can think of that you don't need to know math above a certain point involves garbage and crap. Did I make myself clear?

I would rather be pick up garbage off the curb than be a carpenter, mason, or welder. I would prefer to spend my time in school learning philosophy, culture, history, literature, geography, astronomy, current events etc. etc. then doing fucking PROOFS or laps around the gym. Those are the things that interest me. You can be intelligent and not understand nor care about higher math.

enigma, honeybabe, oh please. That is a shit argument. You can get plenty of jobs that don't involve "garbage and crap" without being great at math. I as well am an "A" student in AP and ACE classes, do you think I will be a garbage man?
