I simply love Emo music. I mean, I don't think going and cutting your wrists and that stuff is cool, but the music can hold a bunch of emotion to it (heh... maybe that's why it's called Emo), great lyrics and tunes most of the time. Plus it helps if your angry or upset! : )

Emo was just a slower version of hardcore punk. Fugazi can technically be called emo. It wasn't until Weezer - Pinkerton and Sunny Day Real Estate - Diary that the emo sound started coming out. However, those two bands are fantastic (atleast, weezer used to be). Hawthorne Heights, the Used, etc should be fucking banned from the airwaves.

Yeah. I got into them back in '99. My brother gave me a copy of Killed By An Angel. I thought it was good. Then I got How It Feels and I was like, "wait... why did I love Killed By An Angel? THIS is where it's at!" My vinyl is not signed (though I have dual disk green vinyl of Killed By An Angel... I love green vinyl), but I did meet and talk to Jeremy in '03 at a Fire Theft show in Philly. I have no idea what my favourite song from them is. But I do love LP2.

"The Rising Tide" and "The Ocean" are tracks I still like. But I agree that "The Rising Tide" is the best on the album. The rest? Well.. it had it's time. I just outgrew it. Quickly. And he wasn't god-ified. I think. I'm not sure what you mean by that. He just smoked a lot and was happy to take pictures with people, but not overly happy to talk with anyone at length.
