It is not a commercial book. I would like some non-profit help, because I've never written any book before.

Have you tried clustering it might give you a leg up in the creative process, eg what sort of character(s) you want or need to drive the story, also happens to the characters in their new environment etc a good place to start would be here it got some good stuff,

Dont ask help for writing a book.. Just write what you have and compile it.. but let the characters have a reason for existence, and do write some useful message to humanity and not an absurd thing..
