Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman is book one of a trilogy.

Persephone Hadley is a Cross, daughter of a prominent politician, while Callum McGregor is a nought. As best friends, their relationship is frowned upon by society, a secret to Sephy's mother, and not approved by Callum's family.
As they grow up their relationship is tested as their two worlds conflict.

This book is hard to sum up in a paragraph ! but i assure you that it is a FANTASTIC book

Pretty Things by Sarra Manning
Brie is in love with Lancome Juicy Tubes, Louis Vuitton accesories, and her gay best friend Charlie, eho is in love with 1960's pop art, 1980 teen movies, and serial heartbreaker Walker, who has ever only been in love with VW Bug, until he meets Daisy.....who is too busy hating anyone to know what love is.

Guys I really recomend this book I like fell in love with it

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton(she has a couple other books that are good too) was a good book im not good at explaing things, but theres The Socs(the rich kids) and the Greasers(poor) and the kid Ponyboy(Greaser) lives with his 2 brothers and him and his friend Johnny get in a fight with a couple of Socs, who almost drown Ponyboy, so Johnny stabs him and kills him(wowo i just realized its lik JT.... well in the stabbing part...) and so they run away and well i am HORRIBLE at explaining things but its a good book

also Speak i dont remember the author... well this girl goes to a party the summer before she starts High School with her best friend, and she gets raped and calls the cops, but she doesnt tell any one that she got raped and no one will talk to her and when she tries to explain to her friend she doesnt listen to her and then her ex best friend starts to date the guy who raped her, i dont want to give away too much lol ill try n find out the author i have the book somewhere... lol

im weird if a book isnt interesting i cannot read it not at all!

RIP JT

Read Starhip Troopers. No, its nothing like the movie. Not even a bit like the movie. There are a lot of phylisophical points made by the author about things like values, duty, individualism, and other things, and he makes them against the backdrop of a fairly entertaining sci fi story. The book is very easy to read - lite reading, but there's a lot there. If you do take my advice and read it, PM me and let me know what you thought or start a thread.

I recommend Michael Crichton. His new stuff is good, but his older stuff is great. My favorites are Airframe and Rising Sun. Airframe is basically an investigation of an airplane crash. Rising Sun is, again an investigation, this time about a murder. Both great books. Some other great ones are Disclosure, The Andromeda Strain, and Jurassic Park. With Jurassic Park, in my opinion, the movie doesn't hold a candle to the book.

Eisenhorn by Dan Abnett if you want good Sci-fi. Genevieve by Jack Yeovil if you want good Fantasy. Both books kept me away from doing anything besides reading and not a lot of books can do that for me. Both copies are also worn to hell and back too because of how much they get read by me.

If you have any interest in the American system, try Al Gore's new book The Assault on Reason. I can hardly put it down as it gives a cohesive explanation to what the h... happened in this country in the past few years.

Check out The Complete List | TIME Magazine - ALL-TIME 100 Novels . It's a list of 100 great books. I just found this link yesterday, and it's a gold mine. There's a brief description of each book.

It's good to meet another reader!

The Moon is a Harsh Mistress is great as well.

The Physician by Noah Gordon is among my favorites.

Much about medical ethics and Persian culture.

For pure entertainment, George R. R. Martin is currently my favorite author. His A Song of Ice and Fire is really good fantasy (if you like that type of thing).
