| Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman is book one of a trilogy. Persephone Hadley is a Cross, daughter of a prominent politician, while Callum McGregor is a nought. As best friends, their relationship is frowned upon by society, a secret to Sephy's mother, and not approved by Callum's family. As they grow up their relationship is tested as their two worlds conflict. This book is hard to sum up in a paragraph ! but i assure you that it is a FANTASTIC book ![]() |

| Stirrer Of Shit | Read Starhip Troopers. No, its nothing like the movie. Not even a bit like the movie. There are a lot of phylisophical points made by the author about things like values, duty, individualism, and other things, and he makes them against the backdrop of a fairly entertaining sci fi story. The book is very easy to read - lite reading, but there's a lot there. If you do take my advice and read it, PM me and let me know what you thought or start a thread. |

| Eligible for a custom title | I recommend Michael Crichton. His new stuff is good, but his older stuff is great. My favorites are Airframe and Rising Sun. Airframe is basically an investigation of an airplane crash. Rising Sun is, again an investigation, this time about a murder. Both great books. Some other great ones are Disclosure, The Andromeda Strain, and Jurassic Park. With Jurassic Park, in my opinion, the movie doesn't hold a candle to the book. |

| Commentator | Eisenhorn by Dan Abnett if you want good Sci-fi. Genevieve by Jack Yeovil if you want good Fantasy. Both books kept me away from doing anything besides reading and not a lot of books can do that for me. Both copies are also worn to hell and back too because of how much they get read by me. |

| If you have any interest in the American system, try Al Gore's new book The Assault on Reason. I can hardly put it down as it gives a cohesive explanation to what the h... happened in this country in the past few years. |

| For pure entertainment, George R. R. Martin is currently my favorite author. His A Song of Ice and Fire is really good fantasy (if you like that type of thing). |
