Heres a poem i read in a book it's really a prayer of a battered woman.......

Now I lay me down to rest,

I placed my head upon his chest.

I Pray for Strength to make it
through.

For peace. For Love. For the promise
from you.

Lord, he said he wouldn't do it
again.

Hes my husband,my lover,my father,and my friend.
How can i ever walk away?

He won't let me. Then he beats me,
And forces me to stay.

So lord i come before you down on my knees,

Please give me the strength to leave
him please.
