I've had this problem for nearly a year now, I just can't seem to get past a couple of chapters into a book. I've got bookmarks a quarter of the way through or so in:

Understanding Power by Noam Chomsky
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson
The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins
Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh (yey Pi-Rat! The key to a working dual-boot install is grub )
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky

Hopefully it's a passing phase, and I'll be able to finish all of these books at some point

The Road

by Cormac Mcarthy

I'm listening to it. I've been a Cormac fan ever since I read Suttree, while living in Knoxville TN.

Did you see the movie of it as well? I keep picturing the characters from the movie in the book, but sometimes I can't tell who is telling the story. I thought one part was Swanney telling his bit... turns out it was Renton! xD

(Grub won't help me just yet, I need to tell Windows to butt out. I have 75gigs of free space on my HD, but Windows keeps about 1gig of files on that back, otherwise empty, half of the drive. Defraging it only seems to keep those files defraged, but still in that back portion! )

I saw the movie before I read the book. After I read the book I felt that the movie would have been better if it actually followed the book.

I am a big "Dresden Files" (Jim Butcher) fan. I have read all but the last two in the series. The TV show isn't that bad either.

I am also reading "Core Python 2nd Edition".

James Herriot - Let Sleeping Vets Lie read the series a few times, nice to go back to.

Also periodically dipping into Beginning Ubuntu Linux a bit still on occasion.

Good book. I liked The Stranger a bit more. Have you read it as well?

Books? We don't need no stinking books! (when we got computers, ebooks and text-files).

I don't like to read physical books. It's a bit pointless to read(in my opinion) when you can do better things such as visit YouTube or spend more time with your family or whoever you are going out with.
