Hi,
Well, I installed Ubuntu 3 days ago and love it. Tried Libranet about 2 years ago and struggle with it still. I have been building computers and am totally self taught starting with DOS thru all the Windows including Vista on my laptop (and I have never seen such a resourse hog in all my days...)
I am a Medical Technologist (yes, I play with body fluids for a living) in Colorado and have a hubby, grown children and grandchildren. I also play a mean Quake (all ver) Doom3 and Fear. Anything else anyone wants to know, just ask... I am a pretty open person and really don't care if the goverment is spying on me. I do hate M$ and it's monopoly, though.

Hi. I'm soon to be 46, somewhat unemployed girl (woman?) who is hoping to enter university this fall. (Got injured twice at a saw mill so ...) Love computers and have been playing with Ubuntu for a couple of years (still a noob though). Like fishing with my husband and living in the bush (so-to-speak) with all the bears and wolves. Well, I'm l3dx!

I'm 22, from Norway. I've just finished a bachelor-study in computer engineering, and will start at my master this autumn.

I've been a linux-user for quite a few years now, but I have to admit that I can't get totally rid of Windows...

I like programming, and beside computer-stuff, I play a little guitar. I'm a bit nerdy (just a bit!

), but I have a girlfriend (for 4 years this summer!), so she reduces my nerd-rate a little

So far, this looks like a nice and interesting forum!

HEY GUYS! I'm wardy125, im no moderator of ubuntu forums, just another user. Again i give my thanks to those who have helped my in the past with my linux problems.

I love games, i play games like, all the time! And i would rot in hell without my computer. Im addicted to my computer, i love it so much! Hehe, well now you know my two obsessions. Oh and btw, games = Xbox360! yeah 360 all the way

I also own 2 nintendo wii's 3 nintendo ds's 1 xbox, 1 xbox 360, 2 PS 2's, 1 sega megadrive (wooh!) and 4-5 computers.

For those who may also be interested, my main machine is currently running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, and i have a file server running Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn, server edition.

Whenever you may catch me not on my pc or games my face is glued to my tv!

So that's me for ya, ooh btw, im into shit loadz of music as well! See you guys around!

One more thing, this forum sounds like a great idea btw.

Hi, I installed Ubuntu yesterday and today I feel like I have a new window on the world.

I am in my first year studying for a degree in computing and statistics with the Open University in the UK and I hope to meet good new friends and colleagues.

I am male age 31 from central Scotland and my main hobby away from the computer is long distance running.

I work as a cashier in a Glasgow casino and my other interests include listening to and sometimes making electronic music, trying to learn Perl and searching for the girl of my dreams.
