MSG, high-fructose corn syrup, and the cornicopia of other artificial ingredients are what's killing everyone's pancreas.

They use MSG to create obese, diabetic rats in the lab all the time. It triples blood insulin, by itself.

If consumers would bother to inform themselves they would make far more intelligent choices about their diet. That doesn't relieve them of their responsibility for their own body. Being an uninformed fool is their personal choice.

I think monosodium glutomate is in just about everything. I always check the nutrition label before buying, specially frozen foods and premade foods on the shelves.

When ordering Chinese food, I always ask the restaurant to omit it from my food. They always do.

High fructose corn syrup is a cheater alternative to pure cane sugar, and is considered to be dangerous if too much of it is consumed over time.

Yeah, it's difficult to avoid, impossibble in most processed food. In the last few years I've gone to making as many meals as is practical from "scratch" or near it.

The food tastes better and is better for you. Win-win.

Processed foods are not good for you for a number of reasons. I much prefer "fresh" food prepared from scratch but for convenience the old processed food is hard to avoid.

ya but theirs a difference between having a microwave curry once a fortnight and slobbering up a kebab for breakfast 3 times a week. its the good ol' case of everything in moderation, and a little feckin self control, which some people seem to entirely lack.

Yeah, I do also! Any of that pre-made stuff that on the store shelves of in the freezer, I can made with no problem! The benefit from that is that you know exactly what's in it.

And for everyone out there, just remember that the chief ingredient in all of those frozen entrees`, pot pies, TV dinners, pre-prepped foods like Hamburger Helper, those powered gravy mixes and sauces, those dinners that you might see in the TV comercials where you'd add fresh chicken, such as Banquet, those things are all tainted with tons of salt.

And if you haven't already, please read the nutritional label first. You'll be shocked and appauled from the amount of sodium that you see on there!!
