Breastfeeding in Public? - Page 2

I have no problem with it at all. I have two daughters and their mothe had to go through getting over feeding in public. The only time I have a issue with it is when the kid walks up to their mother and asks for it. Seriously, a 5 year old should not be breast feeding, that should be cut off until they are in their teens lol.

I would not have a problem with it but I think people should be considerate of others and be discreet. I once saw a woman breastfeeding on a bus and at first I did not believe what I was seeing because I had never seen anything like that before. Then I just politely turned away.
It's much less annoying than say, someone lighting up a cigarette and making me a victim of second-hand smoke.

In my country's culture, for better or worse, the exposure of a woman's breast in public is taboo, and illegal. That said, I have no problem whatsoever with women breastfeeding in public, as usually they are able to be discreet about it. No problem here.

But you think it's better to be paranoid and act like "Think of the Children!" if a breast is slightly seens than to to hear a baby crying or keep them hungry?

It's legal, it's natural, it's perfectly OK, do it if you feel comfortable with it.

It's ultimately the choice of the mother.

It did not bother me that the woman was breastfeeding, but I was surprised since I had never seen a woman do that in public. I was saying that I would prefer that to someone smoking where I have to breathe second-hand smoke.

BTW I read today that some chemists in China developed a new method of analyzing hair samples for nicotine content and that they found that in some cases, the hair of non-smokers contains more nicotine than the hair of people who smoke.

I have no problem with breastfeeding. It's clearly the healthiest thing for children. I don't have a problem with women breastfeeding in public. I do have a problem with some people that intentionally flaunt it in people's faces and then get mad when people object. Despite what you may think about our culture, it is what it is. It is not that hard to be discreet about it. I don't require that women go to another room or anything, just make a small effort to be discreet. It's just courtesy -- why would you not try to be courteous?

discretion differs from culture to culture. It won't bother me seeing a womans breast in public as long as she's not trying to breastfeed me without my permission.

It's not even illegal to show your breasts is public in Germany. "topfree equality"

actually protesters are often nude to get more attention, or you get something free in department stores on special occasions (a new line of cloths is sold for example)
