Oh so they're pretty big. English is not my main language so things like kitchen tools slip me by

Mixing bowl to me sounds like small pots but I realize there might be different sizes. I'm also used to buckets but now that I read that your kids are that small I don't know if that would work (1 year old would probably fit in one )

Our eldest son 20 months picked up a bug and started throwing up on Friday.
It spread to his younger sister then me and my wife.

I'd really love to be able to enjoy a coffee but water is safer at the moment.

Hope you don't catch what your kids have.

Steve, I'm so sorry to hear that. I think I had this one before the rest of my family, but it didn't affect me as strongly.

All of us are healthy and happy today and enjoying a beautiful day. We were out this morning, had lunch at a nice cafe (eggs Benedict for me with fresh fruit, orange juice, and coffee), and are now at home just hanging out.

Get well soon!

Hm... Sick-Kid vomit I'm alright with on a general level...
It's that "Oh, I drank too much, oops" vomit that makes me hate the world.

Sometimes I consider not rolling them over.

But then I realize I can bribe them with the tales later and get things.

Probably because it derails my night... I usually feel like I have to play mom and help them (mostly only if it's someone any younger than me).

I get them starchy things and water, a little bit of something sugary (pop tarts work well), and lay them on their side and stay within ear-shot the rest of the night until I know they're okay.

Ugh.

I usually drink again the next night by myself while watching TV or something (glass of wine is nice) or with one or two people that're over.

Sick kids are distressing.

Good to hear everyone's healthy again.
Sounds like an excellent breakfast.

Thanks for the "get well soon" wishes.

The kids have just gone 24 hours without vomiting and starting to get their appetites back

Oh yeah!
I breastfed my kids. One day, after one of them finished, he just went with a very large smile, looking at me. He was very close and facing me. And "bluuuurp", right into my face
I did not laugh that much at the time...

worse thing about snakebite puke is its bright pink too...

Best thread ever. A bunch of mods talking about puke.

I hate cleaning up vomit.

This post was interrupted by puking.
Usually my dog, Shadow is the one who is sick. I came back from holiday to Blackpool (Lancashire UK) last Saturday and my stomach was off and my right ear is so sore...holidays are supposed to make you happy, aren't they? Duh!
