| Stirrer Of Shit | About 2:00 AM I'm sound asleep and a banging and ruckus at the window wakes me up 90 minutes ago. I thought my dog may have caught a rodent or something, and I turned to look in time to see her bust through the screen on the window and enter our bedroom. The dog knows she's not allowed in the bedroom - she's especially afraid to come in when my wife is there because my wife is so strict about it. On Independence day and New Years Eve people shoot off fireworks all night. These are the few times I ever see my dog beside herself with anxiety, except she's like this tonight. I took her out to the couch and tried to sleep there with her, but she's so clingy and excited - panting and restless that I couldn't sleep. Her condition worried my wife so much that she allowed her to come to bed with us. We still couldn't sleep because the dog is so beside herself, leaning against us, panting incessently, etc. Then she farts. It stinks badly. She jumps off the bed and takes a huge dump on the carpet next to the bed. She's never crapped in the house. Nonetheless, this dried up our sympathy and the dog is back outside. I figured I'd post about it on the outside chance this is one of those things where animals start acting crazy before an earthquake or something. |

| Sounds strange that a dog who is housebroken would all of a sudden start crapping in the house again. |

I guess I'll have to take her to the vet. \ Gee, the government should provide veterinary services so I don't have to pay for the visit. | |

| Taking her to the vet is the best idea. It's probably she ate something bad or maybe a virus or something, and she was trying to get to you to tell you she was feeling really bad. There's every chance its out of her system now but a trip to the vet wouldn't hurt. |

| Hi Raz.. Sorry to hear she is out of sorts for the moment. You know dogs as well as horses do sense earthquakes and upcoming severe events..Horses feel the earth tremble..dogs have a different sense of predictability in regards to astronomical happenings..Best of luck to here,,keep us in tune. | Stirrer Of Shit | I hope there won't be an earthquake. I was without electricity for a whole damn day last one. I think some people died or got hurt too. |

Hi Ras Try going without electricity for 4 days and the temperatures drop in the 20's, and at the time no generator..remember the mess we had with the last snow storm in Missouri? it was awful..so I understand that part of the aggravation. Truly..at one time this ole girl would have not mind living far out in the country..have a cave to keep the food cold, concrete carrier to catch the rainwater and hurricane lamps for lighting..but that was then this is now..I am a country girl at heart. | Stirrer Of Shit | She's had an episode or two like that since. Took her to the vet, didn't find anything wrong. Maybe just the flu. |
