| Stirrer Of Shit | 70 companies have made the decision to start letting parents bring their baby to work with them. Not to park it in on-site child care, but to allow the parent to have the child at their side throughout the day. Best of all, they're doing it for all the right reasons, Quote:

| Hi Ras I think if it were me and I was to make a decision to have a child I would not want to work period, its our responsibility to raise the child, not the daycare or chosen sitter,,its certainly not right to expose the child to other workers who need to stay concentrated on their work force if a child begins to cry and do what babies do. On the other hand..if one chooses this route, I think companies should have an assisted room attached, beings all mothers and their babies..a desk room full of women bringing their babies to work so they can have the allowed tolerances of each other and their babies when they decide to cry and then the diaper scene features begin..( you know what I mean )..So if you cant be home with your child..and your employment is willing to appease the situation, then here is the room you can work in..with all the other mothers and their babies. Then the work force is not disturbed or having to make allowances on bahalf of oops..whats that smell, oh the baby needs changing, exuces me..time out, Sherri |

| Oh yeah - there's nothing like a screaming baby in the room to increase productivity. |

Funny that you'd mock an idea like this that is working so well for women. Its keeping them in the workforce, which means better compensation over time. All in all, its just good for everyone involved, but you mock it? It isn't that you prefer government intervention over grassroots efforts to change one's own environment is it? | |
